Congratulations to the Jersey City Capitals Bantam team - the 2012-13 NJYHL Bantam B Champions and District runner-ups!! 

Congratulations to the Pee Wee team - 2013 Hershey Tournament Pee Wee B Champions!

The Jersey City Capitals Youth Hockey Organization (“the Capitals”) is pleased to announce our 2013-2014 program.  We plan to skate teams in the New Jersey Youth Hockey League at the Squirt, PeeWee, and Bantam levels, as well as a fully ADM compliant program at the Mite level.  We skate out of the Charlie Heger Ice Rink (AKA Pershing Field) with pre-season and early season ice at the Korpi Rink in Bayonne.

Tuition for the Capitals includes a pre-season conditioning camp (Squirt and older) in August, two practices a week, one tournament, and a season of between 35 and 40 games.  Jerseys and socks are an additional charge.  Tuition is as follows:

            Squirt--$1650

            PeeWee--$1700

            Bantam--$1750

            All Goalies pay $500 tuition

Our organizational goals are simple.  We seek to develop in our players a love and respect for the game of hockey, the skills necessary to succeed in the sport, and a sense of camaraderie that comes from being part of a relatively small and tight knit organization like the Capitals.  Our coaching staff is made up predominately of non-parent coaches, men who played the sport at a high level in high school, college, and beyond.  For the upcoming season, we are pleased to announce the following head coaches:

            Bantam—Dan Galella

            PeeWee—Brandon Mihm

            Squirt 1—Tom Atwell

            Squirt 2—Sean Duffy

Tryouts for the Capitals are April 20^th and 21^st at Korpi Rink in Bayonne.  Tryouts for Squirts will be Saturday (7am) and Sunday at (10:15am) ($50 tryout fee).  For PeeWees, tryouts will be Saturday at 8:30am ($25 tryout fee).  For Bantams, tryouts will be Sunday at 8:45am ($25 tryout fee).  Please contact Charlie Heger (Charles.heger@verizon.net) in advance if you cannot make one the of above sessions.

Please bring the following completed forms to tryouts:

- 2013-14 tryout application which be found at the bottom of this page where it says "Handout"

- a copy of player's birth certificate

- USA Hockey card (or printout of registration page, register here: https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/)

- and these three documents which can be found under "Forms" on the left side of this page: Medical Treatment Authorization, Parents Code of Conduct & Waiver of Liability
