Varsity Division
This Division contains players that are ages 11, 12, and 13 years old by June 30th. They play basically high school rules as dictated by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The maximum weight in this division is 150 pounds. However players between 135 and 150 can play the offensive and defensive line only. Any player up to 135 pounds can play anywhere. All 13 year olds can weigh only 135 pounds maximum.
JV Division - National Conference
This Division contains the Buckeye Buccaneers JV along with 3 JV teams from Brunswick and 4 JV teams from Strongsville.
This division is also competetive and has a playoff and championship. However it is instructional since one coach is on the field with both the offense and the defense as they play through the first half of the schedule. This helps with play calling and instruction as the game goes on so that the players learn their correct position and assignements.
All players here are 9 or 10 years old by June 30th, and cannot weigh more than 135 pounds. Maximum weight on the ball carrier in this division is 100 pounds.
JV Division - American Conference
This Division contains the Jags and Jets JV teams and also 5 JV teams from Brunswick and 2 from Strongsville.
This division is also competetive and has a playoff and championship. However it is instructional since one coach is on the field with both the offense and the defense as they play through the first half of the schedule. This helps with play calling and instruction as the game goes on so that the players learn their correct position and assignements.
All players here are 9 or 10 years old by June 30th, and cannot weigh more than 135 pounds. Maximum weight on the ball carrier in this division is 100 pounds.
JV Division Cheerleaders
This division contains the Buccaneers, Jaguars, and Jets Junior Varsity Cheerleaders representing Buckeye in the League. This division is where the girls learn more complicated routines and get ready to advance to the Varsity division. The girls in this division are 9 or 10 years old by June 30th.
Pee Wee Division - National Conference
This Division contains the Pee Wee teams representing BFYA in the League. It will also contain the Pee Wee teams from Brunswick and Strongsville.
This division is istructional and will keep score, however there will be no playoffs or champion held.
It is instructional in the sense that one coach is on the field with both the offense and the defense as they play through the entire season. This helps with play calling and instruction as the game goes on so that the players learn their correct position and assignements.
All players here are 7 or 8 years old by June 30th, and cannot weigh more than 105 pounds.
Pee Wee Division - American Conference
This Division contains the Pee Wee teams representing BFYA in the League. It will also contain the Pee Wee teams from Brunswick and Strongsville.

This Division contains the BYFA Cheerleading Squads representing us in the Pee Wee Division.
All cheerleaders here are 7 or 8 years old by June 30th.
Flag Division
This division will contain the Buckeye Flag Team(s) and the flag teams from Brunswick. The flag division is designed to introduce these players to football and we get them to have fun and learn a few basics of the game. The players are 6 by June 30th with no weight limit.
Flag Division Cheerleaders
This division contains the BYFA Flag Cheerleaders representing Buckeye in the League. These young ladies get their first taste of cheering and have lots of fun while cheering for the flag team(s). This division is for girls 6 years old by June 30th.
