-Graduate of John Curtis Christian School's class of 1995
-Was a part of state championship teams of 1990 and 1993 and was runner up in 1994
-Earned a football scholarship to Tulane University as an offensive lineman
-Was named to the All-Conference team during his time at Tulane University
-Was elected team captain for the 1999 season at Tulane
-Earned a B.S. degree from Tulane in 2000.
-Currently teaches Civics, Sociology and Economics. Also is an assistant coach on the softball team.
-Married to Lindsay Nihart Godfrey and has one son Bryce Michael
-Son of Jerry and Sandra Godfrey
