JCC INVITATIONAL
We will be holding our first ever JCC Invitational on July 13th from 7:30am - 1:30pm.
Events: Swimmers may swim in a maximum of 3 individual events and 1 relay. There will be novice events (for 1st time swimmers) & open events (for experienced swimmers). Registration costs $2.50 per event and Checks may be made out to the JCC. Please let Paige know if you would like to participate by July 5th, and which events you would like to swim.
Sponsors: You may choose to sponsor and event ($10/event) in order to show your support for your swimmer. You my also place a personal ad for your swimmer or business ad in the program book as well. (Prices TBA)
Volunteers: This is a HUGE Fundraiser for the JCC Sharks and we will need a lot of parent & family involvement. Please look over the following jobs and be prepared to sign up for at least ONE at the Parent Coach's Meeting on June 22nd.
- Set Up & Clean Up: We will need help setting up the deck the night before (Sat. July 12th) as well as the day of the event. After the meet we will need a few volunteers to help clean up and put the deck back in order.
- Snack Bar: This will be a huge money maker for us on the day of the event! We probably need 5 volunteers at a time (maybe 10 and do 2 different shifts). Our snack bar Chair (Debbie Kling) will not be able to make it to the meet so if some one would like to work with her before hand and take over as head of snack bar for the day that would be great!
- Timers: We will need 2-3 sets of timers for the meet so that you are not stuck timing the entire meet. We will be asking other teams to provide timers too but we will probably need 15-18 timers in total from the JCC.
- Medal & Ribbon Writers: This job should be very easy because the labels will be printing throughout the entire meet so it is as simple as putting labels on ribbons or medals. We probably only need 2-3 people for this.
- Bull Pen (Seeding area): This is where the kids get lined up to go to the blocks. We need someone with a loud voice and a lot of energy for this job! We will need one person to run the Bull Pen and a few people to help line kids up and check the order before they go to the blocks. (3-4 people total)
- Officials: We will need 1-2 officials at all times so if you are an official please volunteer for this position and we will try to find officials from other pools too.
