Two games guaranteed Fee: $300 per team
No hassle gate fee of $200 per team. This may seem shocking when you first see it Here is how we came to do the gate fee.
Any tournament is going to charge an admission/gate fee. PER PERSON If we take the bare minimum of $8 (this price is usually in advance only)for a weekend it doesn't sound too bad. but then you factor in mom, dad, little brother and sister etc. it begins to add up. Then you have to wait in line to pick up your pass or wait in line to pay for the day. Then you have to be arm banded or keep track of your pass and hope you don't lose it and have to pay again. Or... again working on the bare minimum of 15 players on the team roster, you could collect a little less than $13.50 per player and then parents and everyone they know could come and go as they please with no hassle for the entire weekend.
We just began this last year and the feedback was positive. This also makes things easier on us by not having to take additional staff for gate tables. Then there is the several hundreds of feet of fencing that needs to be put up (which causes a traffic flow problem when entire teams are entering and exiting. Also, many people get to a game at the last minute and don't want to stand in line. Or a parent or coach may need to go to their car
and have to go all the way around to an exit. I know it seems shocking when you first see the fee. I hope this explanation helps .
Age brackets: 7/8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13/14 weight restrictions apply to 11 and under teams. Weight restrictions and rules can be found at www.gatewayfootballleague.com

From the Mid Rivers Junior Football Association Website: Gage Wickiser
It is with great sadness that we report a member of our Mid Rivers family has passed on. Gage Wickiser, son of long time cheer coach Julie Smith, passed away on Monday February 23rd. Gage suffered from Epidermolysis Bullosa. He was 7 years old and while his condition never allowed him to play football, he was very much an Eagle at heart and will be missed as he touched the lives of all who knew him. We ask for prayers and thoughts for his family in this time of need.
All of Mid Rivers' teams will be dedicating their 2009 season's to Gage's memory.
The JB football family extends our heartfelt condolences to Gages'
