ABOUT JAGS 94-95AGE GROUP COORDINATOR: TBA
The "94-95" in our site name refers to the birth years for the age group -- August 1, 1994 through July 31, 1995.
Fall Season 2005 was organized to reconstitute JAGS play for the U11 conference. The inaugural teams participating in a short-schedule season were PDA Celtic (Zarephath), Emerson Eagles (Emerson), FC Copa (Central NJ), and Randolph Raiders (Randolph). Spring Season 2006 saw the division grow to 13 teams, playing JAGS as a "secondary" league.
For Fall Season 2006, sixteen U12 teams now play JAGS League exclusively. Eight of these are ranked in the top 10 U12 Girls teams in New Jersey, four are ranked in the Region 1 top 20, and one is ranked nationally in the top 20.
The 2007-2008 season saw a marked increase in the number of teams playing in the conference -- 28 teams in the Fall, and 46 in the Spring. This included the return of top teams in the age group who had been playing up a year - a testament to the strength of the teams in this age group and JAGS/MAPS being their league of choice. This year also marked the introduction of MAPS flights, considered by many to be the highest level of competitive league play in the state.
Benefits include competitive play against teams state-wide and flexible scheduling around State Cup and tournaments.
