Welcome to the Irvine Sting 14U Girls Softball site!
Coached by Clint Watson and based in Irvine, California.
We are part of the Irvine Sting organization that was founded over 16 years ago by Blair Ota.The Irvine Sting organization focuses on the fundamentals of the game, working toward long-term success not just short-term wins. We have teams at the 12U, 14U (2), and 18 Gold levels.We are very proud that the Irvine Sting program has developed many excellent players over the years with a high percentage of the 18 Gold seniors earning college scholarships.
We practice at Col. Bill Barber field in Irvine, one of the premier softball complexes in California. Numerous college exposure tournaments are held at Col. Bill Barber, including scrimmage games between the U.S. and Australian Olympic teams. We have our own batting cages right next to the practice field.
We are a competitive travel ball team and will play an aggressive schedule
this fall season as we work toward our goal of competing at ASA Nationals for the championship. Last year the team was very successful having placed 3rd at ASA Western Nationals.
