Registration for the 2012 Spring/Summer Softball and Volleyball Season is now open.  The Inverness Metropolitan Improvement District – Recreation consists of three softball leagues and one volleyball league:

Monday Night, Men’s Competitive Softball - $375/team (District); $435/team (Non-District)

Tuesday Night, 5-5 Coed Softball - $375/team (District); $435/team (Non-District)

Wednesday Night, 7-3 Coed Softball - $375/team (District); $435/team (Non-District)

Thursday Night, 4-2 Coed Volleyball - $175/team (District); $195/team (Non-District)

Games begin on May 7  for the Spring/Summer league and the season ends with a tournament in August.  Trophies are given to each League Winner, Tournament Winner and Tournament Runner-Up.  All games are played at the Inverness Metro Park at the south end of the Inverness Business Park.   Inverness Business Park companies are given priority, but if space remains available, companies from outside the business park may enter teams in these leagues for an increased registration fee.

The District Office must receive completed registration forms by April 20, 2012 to guarantee placement in a league.  Payment and original team roster forms must accompany registration forms in order to be eligible for the league.  Each softball league has room for 12 teams and the volleyball league has room for 16 teams.  If a waiting list develops for any league, Inverness teams will be given priority.  Payment must be received before a team will be allowed to register.  No team will be allowed to play if an original, signed team roster is not on file in the District office.
