Invasion Coaches are among the most experience in the area.

Debbie Katzfey - Debbie has over 20 years Varsity High School Volleyball coaching experience as well as coaching in other sports. After seven seasons in Omaha, NE Debbie and her family moved to Lee's Summit where she has served as the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Lee's Summit H.S. and at Lee's Summit North H.S. She was honored with membership in the MSHSAA winners circle in 2001 by notching her 200th varsity volleyball win in the state. Debbie is currently the Athletic Director at Lee's Summit West H.S. and will be coaching our 11-Black team.

Mark Ethridge - Mark has played Open/AA adult volleyball for over 12 years. He has coached Junior Olympic volleyball for 6 years, guiding his teams to the USAV Junior National Championships each of the last two years. He has achieved a CAP I coaching certification level -- an elite distinction. Mark will be coaching the club's 12-Black team and the 16-Blue team this year and has also taken on the role of Assistant Club Director.

Ashley Epping - Ashley returns to coach Invasion's 12-Blue team again this year after a successful first year of coaching club volleyball last year. Ashley played volleyball at Blue Springs High School and continues to enjoy adult ball.

Diana Blackburn - 22 years playing experience through the HOA on both A and BB level teams (still actively playing). She has 20+ years coaching experience including Independence Youth Athletic Association (2 years), and with a handful of the top clubs in the area. This is her second season coaching with Invasion after her 12's team last season qualified for and participated in the USAV Junior National Championships. She has 5 years high school level coaching, 3 years with Lee's Summit North High School (Freshman and Sophomore) and 2 years with Blue Valley North High School (Freshman). Diana has coached in the parochial leagues the last six years including two league championships. Diana will be coaching our 13-Black team this year. 

Ryan Gill - Ryan returns to Invasion this year to coach our 13-Blue team after serving as an assistant coach on our 15's and 12's teams last year. Ryan has three years coaching experience with Invasion and three years experience with area High School teams. He is currently the J.V. coach and assistant Varsity coach at St. Mary's High School.

Sheri Gregory - Sheri joins Invasion this year to coach our 14-Black team along with her husband, Jeff. Sheri played volleyball at Truman High School under Chuck Harris and went on to a play at the University of Missouri. She's continued playing USAV adult volleyball. Sheri has coached Junior's volleyball for four years with Titan Juniors and other clubs in the metro area.

Jeff Gregory - Jeff joins Invasion with his wife, Sheri, to coach our 14-Black team. Jeff has played AA adult volleyball for 17 years and coached youth soccer and basketball for six years before beginning to coach Junior's volleyball last year.

Rita Taula - Rita has coached youth and Junior Olympic volleyball for 8 years and remains a favorite of the players and parents as she works with the girls. Rita will be coaching the 14-Blue team this year.

Keri Cochran - Keri returns to Invasion this season to coach our 15-Black team after coaching our 17-Blue team last season. Keri's High School experience growing up led her to play at Southwest Baptist University. After graduation she served as an assistant at Southwest Baptist for one year before accepting a teaching position in Grain Valley where she has served as the Junior Varsity head coach and the Varsity Assistant coach the last three years.

Kenny Bragaw (Asst) - Kenny has coached youth and Junior Olympic volleyball for 4 years and will be assistant coaching our 15-Black team.

Phil "Flip" Freeze - Flip joins Invasion this year to coach our 15-Blue team. He has been actively playing juniors and AA adult volleyball for 28 years. He has coached men's, juniors, Junior High and High School teams off and on for 23 years and is currently the Varsity and Junior Varsity coach for CPRS.

Don Harris - 35 years playing experience. Played collegiately at Loyola Marymount University in California and has played on numerous AA HOA Regional Champion teams. Has played in 12 USAV National Championship tournaments. Coached the 1980 Boys Junior Olympic National Champion team. Has coached Girls Junior Olympic volleyball for 6 years, including two trips to the USAV Junior National Championships in the last three years. Don's team last year qualified to play in the Open Division at Nationals. Don will be coaching our 16-Black team and our Boys team.

Chuck Harris - Chuck has been involved in the Kansas City area volleyball community for over 40 years, beginning as a youth in the mid-60's and continuing on to include his time at Graceland where he helped start the Men's Varsity program then continuing on to play as an adult for many years after graduation. Chuck enjoyed a successful stint coaching the Truman High School team for 12 years where he guided two teams to Missouri State Championships, one runner up, one third place finish and two other quarterfinal appearances. After a break from coaching, Chuck has been coaching the last several years at Shawnee Mission North High School. Chuck joined his brother Don last season to help guide the Invasion 15-Black team to an impressive season that included top 10 finishes in the open division at three qualifiers and a trip to Atlanta to play in the Open Division at the USAV Junior National Championships.

Marvin Forbes - Marvin played Middle and Outside Hitter at Columbia College including one National Championship team and one National Champion runner-up. Former Assistant Coach at Central Methodist College and assisted in running several summer camps for High School players. Marvin spends tireless hours outside his club coaching time working with players on technique and fundamentals. He has coached Girls’ Junior volleyball for 4 years and will be coaching our 17-SWAT team this year.

John Zwiesler (Asst)John comes to Invasion from Kansas Networks VBC out of Topeka, a club that he helped form seven years ago. He comes to Invasion with fifteen years of playing and coaching experience. On the volleyball court he played at the regional and national level, until he decided eight years ago that he wanted to coach at a high level in Junior Olympic volleyball and gave up playing to focus on coaching.  Since then his national and open teams have been to five USA Junior Olympic Championships and have consistently finished at or near the top in National Qualifier events. John coached in the parochial school league in the Wichita area for several years and has also helped run several camps.  What he really enjoys is the one-on-one lesson, the breaking down and teaching of the game and watching those kids excel and compete at a high level. John also has coached girls Jr Olympic fast pitch at the top level, winning five straight ASA Kansas State Championships from 1999 to 2003. As a coach he believes you should always be a student of the game and a role model on and off the court. John willl be working with Marvin Forbes on the 17-SWAT team.

Cliff Robinson - Cliff has played USAV adult Volleyball and coached junior Olympic and developmental teams for 10 years. Cliff’s teams have qualified and participated in USAV Junior National Championships twice in the last four years and have earned a handful of top ten finishes at National Qualifier events. He is the former Commissioner of the Blue Springs Youth Volleyball League and is the current Director of the Invasion VBC. Cliff will be coaching our 17-Blue team.

Sean Barrett (Asst) - Sean took over the Head Volleyball Coach position at Fort Osage High School three years ago after serving as assistant coach for several years before that. He has been coaching Junior Olympic volleyball with Invasion for 6 years and this year will work with Cliff Robinson and the 17-Blue team.

Jerry MacLean - Jerry joins Invasion this year to coach our 17-White team after 17 successful years as a High School volleyball coach. His High School coaching career began with four years at Santa Fe High School during which his teams reached the semi-finals of the Missouri State Championship tournament each year, bringing home a State Championship one of those years. He spent four years at Pleasant Hill then went on to take the Head Coaching position at Blue Springs South High School where he was a fixture for nine years. Jerry's teams have won more than 300 varsity matches during his High School coaching career and he continues to add to those totals as the Head Coach at Lone Jack High School after retiring from Blue Springs South earlier this year. Jerry has also coached Juniors volleyball in Higginsville the last three years.

Shaun Schneikart - Shaun has eight years collegiate coaching experience at Benedictine and Washburn Universities. His collegiate teams have won Varsity and Junior Varsity Heart of America Athletic Conference titles and have placed in the top 25 Nationally. He has coached Junior Olympic volleyball for 10 years including 5th and 9th place finishes at the USAV Junior National Championships and a 2nd place plus several other top 10 finishes at USAV National Qualifier tournaments. Shaun will be coaching the 18-Black team this year.

James Guess (Asst) - James has played adult USAV volleyball for 12 years and has coached Junior Olympic and developmental volleyball for 8 years. James will be assistant coaching the 18-Black team.
