Thanks to everyone who participated in our combine on Saturday! The staff is excited about the number of quality guys on hand!
Remember, this was not a tryout. Among other things, it was a chance for you to show us what you can do and for our staff to set a baseline for the players. Everyone who attended will be invited to practice with the Ohio Invaders where we will continue to evalute players' abilities to see how they can best serve the team.
Remember, everything changes when the we get to full-speed practices; some guys hit harder, other become more timid. That's when we find out who is ready and who is not!!
If you have recently heard about the Invaders or were unable to attend our combine, please be sure to contact one of our coaches for an evaluation and invitation to practice, it is not too late to make the team!!
Wednesday, January 28
We will be hosting a combine Saturday Feb. 21st from 2-5p.m. at Perry High School Community Fitness Center. There will be a $20.00 registration fee plus bring a photo I.D. Locker rooms and showers will be available. Please wear indoor shoes. The location can be found by clicking on the "Location" tab on the left and then click on Perry High School.
The school is located off Center Street (same street as the Nuclear Power Plant - but SOUTH of US Rt. 20). When you pull into the school, veer left and park in the large lot. Enter behind CFC at the southeast corner of the football stadium.

Thank you to the players who preregistered for the Combine!! Hope you are ready to work hard! We will see you there!
The Ohio Invaders would like to announce that Owner Mark Clement will remain on not only as Owner but Head Coach as well for the 2009 season.
EAST VS WEST ALL STAR GAME IN RIPLEY
I want to say congrats to the guys who represented the Ohio Invaders in Ripley: Mike Groomes (#14), Bubby Thomas (#86), Mike Brown (#60, #70 for game), Randy Brewster (#73, #68 for game), Danny Skalecki (#1, #21 for game), CJ Jackson (#2, #1 for game - did not play - shoulder injury), James Hamilton (#95, #33 for game) and Boobie Parker (#22). Congrats to Bubby for receiving the Sportsmanship award and both he and Boobie played well enough to have earned the East MVP award, but the local Black Bears QB received that. The East won 26-16 over the West and all of the Invaders players had an awesome game and represented us well!!
Congratulations to the players who have been invited to Atlanta and will be representing the team there and especially to Antoine Jackson (#9) who was voted First Team All American!!
Mark Clement got the opportunity, at the last minute, to coach the offense and did a great job. Everyone was happy with the play calling, substitution and all around good coaching. Congrats on the victory, Mark.
