Position: ADA 9-10 SB/Event Coord.
Profile: Dorothy started her Little League activities in 1980 when Shirley Ferguson asked her to be the Secretary for the Big League Softball World Series. A few years later, she became the Secretary on District 7 staff. In 1988, Dorothy moved to Fort Wayne for a career improvement. Once there, she contacted George Glick, DA for IN 10, who was just starting the little league softball program in his area. Dorothy was appointed ADA for District 10 softball, a position she remained in until her return to Indianapolis in 1992 to help her elderly parents. Shirley appointed her back to D7 staff as Secretary and ADA for 9/10 softball. Currently, Dorothy holds the positions of Treasurer, ADA 9/10 Softball and Events Coordinator. Dorothy's sons played baseball at Lawrence Little League, although she did not hold a board or staff position during their playing years. She has also served as Assistant Challenger Program Coordinator. Dorothy also volunteers as the Collections Chairperson at Central Region during the Major Baseball Regional Tournament each year. In total, she has been on a Little League staff for over 30 years. Dorothy and her husband, John, have 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
