But here's their policy anyways....

Carleton University is private property. Regulations with respect to parking and vehicle operation on campus are created under the authority of the Carleton University Act. All persons parking on the grounds of Carleton University must obtain and display a valid parking permit and park in designated parking areas only. Vehicles not displaying a parking permit or found parked in any unauthorized area will be ticketed and/or towed. For a full listing of Carleton University's Parking and Traffic Regulations, please visit the Parking Services' website at http://www.carleton.ca/parking. For patrons renting ice time at the Ice House on campus, Athletics and Parking Services have developed a parking permit program that will see users provided with a parking permit that they can use ONLY while on the ice for their scheduled practice/play times. This permit is valid for one (1) hour before and up to one (1) hour after scheduled ice time. The permit is valid in Lot 3 only and does not extend parking privileges to users in any other area of campus and for any other use other than for parking when on campus for scheduled practice/play at the Ice House. If attending the Ice House as a spectator or guest, you must pay visitor parking rates at the self-pay parking facilities located in non-permit or shared visitor parking areas on campus. There are several visitor parking areas in close proximity to the Athletics Complex - please refer to campus maps for specific direction/ locations. Parking Services recommends the following parking areas for visitor parking to the Ice House: Lot 5 (Visitor), CTTC Lot (After 5PM), P-9 [Admin. Parking Garage (Levels 2 and 3)], Lot P-10, and Lot P-14. Athletics will provide Parking Services with the schedule of registered teams and corresponding permits for daily ice rentals and Parking Enforcement Officers will monitor parking areas and ticket violators.
