SR WOMEN'S AA 2009-2010
The Ottawa Ice Cats SR AA now have a new Sister team: The Westboro Ice Cats SR A
The Ice Cats have just completed the 2008-2009 Season. We had a very successful season, emerging as the top SR AA team in Ottawa and finishing number 2 in the Province.We had 3 Objectives for the Year:
1) Be Competitive with the local Int AA and SR AA teams with at least a .500 record in Regular Season. - Accomplished.
2) Make the Finals of the local Open Division Playoffs, thus assuring we played up until the week before Provincials. Accomplished.
3) Make the Medal Round at the Provincials and at least equal last years Bronze Medal performance. Equal because the level of play has gone up significantly with the erosion of the CWHL and the AAA players moving down to AA. Exceeded! - Silver Medal, after winning 2 overtimes, and 1 double overtime, to get to the Final. This year we got to the door...next year we kick it down!. Incredible performance Ice Cats.
WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR PLAYERS FOR 2009-2010 SEASON. If you are are recent CIS, or NCAA hockey grad - and/or have recently moved to the area, this is the team for you.

If you wish to Tryout with the SR AA Ottawa Ice Cats, please bring a Permission to Skate, or Player Release from any team you played for who was registered with the OWHA last year, anywhere in the Province.
