WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE ICE JETS 95AA PEE WEE HOCKEY CLUB


We are a proud member of the Ice Jets Association as well as USA Hockey. During our season, we will play in the North Texas Hockey League as well as local and out of state tournaments. Our home rink is the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Valley Ranch.

Karson Kaebel to coach 95AA Ice Jets

Coach Karson Kaebel is a native of Pekin, Illinois, where he grew up playing at the AA level and later went on to win a State Championship. From there Karson played Junior A hockey in the North American Hockey League where he was an All-Star. The next two years would see Karson play in the United States Hockey League where his team won the 1991 National Championship. After earning a scholarship to Northern Michigan University, Karson went on to play 8 years professionally. His career highlights were going to 2 NHL training camps with the Detroit Red Wings and the Quebec Nordiques. Karson and his brothers have run hockey camps in the Pekin area for 10 years stressing overall development on and off the ice. With mentorship under premier USA hockey coach/trainer Jack Blatherwick for 7 years Karson experienced firsthand what training correctly and consistently can do for a player.


"This type of training can make an average player good, and a good player an exceptional player. I love high tempo practices and the Euro-style of hockey where dump-outs and dump-ins are highly discouraged. This creative style of letting the kids play makes it a fun game for the players to play and an exciting brand to watch for the fans. I believe through training with the Ice Jets consistently a player can achieve his dream of playing at the college or professional level. My vision as a coach goes way beyond wins and losses, but building a 21st century athletic hockey team. The team who has disciplined, skilled, ethical players will succeed individually and corporately. My players work very hard every practice and I am very demanding, but when the kids start doing things on the ice they have never done before they begin to gain a fresh confidence that spurs them on to becoming self motivated people which should be the goal of any instructor."


Karson's coaching successes with the Ice Jets include his 93AAA team winning the USA Hockey Tier 1 U-12 National Championship for the 2005-06 season.

Karson resides with his wife Shannon in Lewisville.
