IRONMEN WRESTLING CLUB: Youth Team Results
Nutmeg Series: Stamford CT 10/18
Our sole youth entry for this tournament was Josh Simpendifender.
Josh ended up taking third place to earn a bronze metal.
Josh had a very hard bracket. Many of the clubs he faced are year round clubs from area famous for tough competition. Josh fought hard and showed that he has a true warrior spirit. Josh's last match was great. He pushed his guy to his limits and totally dominated him.
Great Job Josh!!! Keep up the fight and keep going forward!!!

Modified Team Post-Season 09 Summary
Bragging is not the Ironmen way...however recognition for a job well done is. In an attempt to give our young athletes recognition we are throwing up the results of our post season in 09. In March 09, Ironmen assembled a tournament modified team to give any wrestler who wanted the opportunity to get more experience. Our team was composed of wrestlers from Arlington Middle, Lagrange Middle and Union Vale Middle.
Often people are concerned about the "winning" nature of a club. Ironmen does not focus on that, but we do indeed train to win. We feel that winning is a by-product of doing what's right in life and hard work. So, this is what the hard work did: OUT OF 33 ENTRIES IN MARCH,WE HAD 20 GOLD, 8 SILVERS AND 4 BRONZE. THAT'S A 97% PLACEMENT RATE FOR THOSE TOURNMENTS.
