Congratulations to Brit on her gritty tournament performance and record breaking season! 5/11/12 Gardner sets new single season Loyola strikeout record and takes pitcher of the tournament honors. In addition to being named Horizon Pitcher of the Year Brittany eclipsed Lindsey LaChiana's previous single-season school record (204) by totaling her 205th punchout of the year. 5/17/12 Brittany Gardner Named Second Team All-Great Lakes Region

Head Softball Coach University of Rio Grande
.
Slammers are very proud to welcome Kristen Bradshaw.
Bradshaw just completed her first season as the head softball coach at the University of Rio Grande.

The Slammers give a big welcome to Stephanie Bittner as she joins our 2012 roster. Stephanie is a middle infielder at the University of Southern Indiana where she is completing her Junior season. She currently carries a .343 batting average with 8 homeruns, 32 RBI's, .587 SLG% and .441 OB% for the Screaming Eagles.

The Slammers are very proud to announce the addition of Ashley Sullivan to our 2012 roster. Ashley hails from Lemont, Illinois and is currently completing her junior season at Saint Xavier University as a middle infielder. She is enjoying a banner year at SXU with a .317 batting average. Ashley is leading the team in doubles and is second on the team in RBI's. Besides a consistent bat, Ashley brings a very solid glove to the Slammers defense. We are expecting to see some great things on the field from Ashley this summer.

The Slammers are thrilled to announce the addition of Mary Connolly to our 2012 squad. Mary is currently a freshman at DePaul University where she is having a great season with a .298 batting average, 5 homeruns, 23 RBI's, .511 SLG % and a .362 OB %.

The Slammers welcome Kelsi Jones to our 2012 squad. Kelsi is currently a freshman playing softball for the University of Missouri Tigers.We expect great things from Kelsi this summer. Her bat will be a welcomed addition to a already potent lineup. Welcome Kelsi!

The Slammers are thrilled to add Shawna Sadler to our 2012 roster. Shawna is currently in her freshman year playing softball for the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers of the Sun Belt Conference. Shawna is a speedy lefty who had a very successful fall season at Western Kentucky. As the lead off hitter at WKU Shawna completed her fall season with a solid .333 batting average against the likes of Alabama, Tennessee and Murray State.

The combination of Shawna and Jhavon Hamilton at the top of our order will be a real threat any time that they enter the box. Welcome Shawna!
