High Five from Commissioner & CAA President!
Bob, I wanted to let you know that I had the pleasure of attending INGLEWOOD'S HOMECOMING yesterday.
There were 3 Carson team's playing there. I was able to see all 3 games. I have to tell you, IW rolled out the red carpet for us. The food was delicious as usual and all of Linda's board and coaches were extremely nice and accommodating to whatever was needed. What was most impressive was watching all the IW & CA kids playing together off the field and having a good time with each other. There was a DJ there and when heplayed a "good" song, all the kids would dance together. The Homecoming festivities at halftime of the 5:00 PM game were awesome. All the cheerleaders came out and each division did a cheer together and the trainers did a routine also. All the performances used Michael Jackson music. While I was on the field watching the halftime performances, I glanced back into the stands. I had not realized until that moment howmany people were there. The stands were nearly full. If all the kids playing had to sit down, there truly would not have been any room for anyone else. You would have thought it was the Super bowl. The JM game with CA vs. the Redskins had to have been the game of the day. The final score was 0-0. It was a dogfight from the 1st second ticking off the clock until the last. You could not have picked a better game to be the center ofHomecoming. It was a truly a great day of football at IW. Being there with so many CA fans and IW fans and everyone just having a good time reminded me of a family reunion. It was OCJAAF family at it's finest. Linda & IW did a great job and inspired me to want to have homecoming for CA next season. I wish you could have been there, you would have been proud and enjoyed yourself. It was Linda's birthday on Saturday, and it was a fitting tribute to her and all the hard work she has done for the program. HIGH FIVE to INGLEWOOD!
From Stephanie A. Lay, Carson.

South Gate would like to "welcome back" and thank VALERIE AUBERT-YARBROUGH (an OCJAAF Player Agent and good friend since we began, 1990!). We couldn't ask fora better Player Agent to help get things done for us! (Thanks Sharon!). Valerie comes to our field when asked, even at the last minute, she has picked up our badges from OCJAAF and other great services which go far and above what we had been used to. Important Announcement from President Gibson:
I am excited to announce that the Inglewood Jr. All-American Football League, Inc., has a home football field for the 2009 season! Our 2009 season home games will be played at Hawthorne High School in Hawthorne, California. Before the start of the 2008 season, I promised that we would have a home field for the 2009 season. Please join me in thanking Executive Board members Rick Harris and Lesli Tate, IJAAFL Alumnus Curtis Conway, and Hawthorne High School Principal Dr. Newel and Head Football Coach Mr. Swain, for their tireless efforts to help us secure a home field. The Centinela Valley Unified School District fully supports IJAAFL and appreciates the efforts of our volunteers, and welcomes us with open arms to utilize their facilities at Hawthorne High School.
It is with mixed emotions that we must play our football games outside of the city of Inglewood. However, my priorities must ensure that our boys and girls have a home field (in close proximity to their homes) and are able to invite family and friends to support them and to be a part of the Inglewood Jr. All-American Football League, Inc. experience. Thank you to the IJAAFL Executive Board for supporting my decision to move forward. We pride ourselves with many close relationships we have developed throughout the years. Having a home field will once again allow us the opportunity to rekindle those relationships and to support our IJAAFL brothers and sisters.
Kindest Regards,
Ms. Linda Gibson
