The 1st Annual IHS Football Golf Tournament,
Dinner and Auction will be held on Friday, August 1st at Lake Wilderness Golf Course (“Lake Wilderness” or “the Course”). Lake Wilderness Golf Course is located in Maple Valley, 13.9 miles from Issaquah High School. The Shotgun Format Tournament will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. with the Dinner and Auction beginning at 6:15. A pre-dinner Social sponsored by the Team Moms will start at 3:30 for all those not participating in the Golf Tournament.
The primary objective of the event (after raising necessary funding for the IHS Football Program) is to establish an annual event that builds camaraderie, good will, and esprit de corps with all the groups that contribute to and/or comprise the IHS Football Program (to include student athlete parents, IHS Football coaches, IHS Alumni, IHS Administrators, and the local Business Community). Given this objective we are working hard to put on a first class event in a comfortable venue where all the participants have a great time.
The following information regarding the Course and event is provide for your consideration.
Lake Wilderness Golf Course This hilly course is best known for its narrow fairways and a reputation for playing fair and fun. The signature hole is #17, a 286-yard, par 4, because of its fantastic beauty and scenic vistas. Water hazards come into play on several holes. Norman Woods added the back nine to this course, and Robert Muir Graves redesigned the entire course in 1986. The original 18 holes were designed by Ray Coleman. The course and greens are currently in outstanding condition.
Golf Event Information The Tournament will accommodate 36 foursomes (144) players in a shotgun format. The price of the golf package for each golfer is $125. The package includes green fees, golf cart, Prime Rib and Salmon dinner (includes tax and gratuity), and 10% discount on all items purchased at the Lake Wilderness Pro Shop on the day of the event.
Additional services to be provided by the Course include: Tournament Scoring; Contest hole signage on course; Check-in list by last name and hole assignment and/or tee times; Cart signs with names and hole assignments and/or tee times; Scorecards labeled with foursome names and/or starting assignments; Assistance in setting-up course signage; Staging of carts; Beverage and snack cart on course; Lake Wilderness Golf Course gift certificates; Closest to hole contest for each par 3; Longest drive contest for each par 5; Hole in one surprise; and Corporate sponsored hole events.
Dinner and Auction Venue The Moms Pre-Dinner Social, dinner and auction will be held in the lower banquet room which will also include access to the outside patio and tented area. The room will accommodate 225 for dinner and auction with any overflow to be accommodated by the tented patio areas. The Silent Auction will be set-up in the dining room with any overflow to be set-up in the covered patio area. Two bars will be set-up in the room. Participants will also have access to the recently remodeled upper bar for the entire evening.
Football Moms Pre-Dinner Social The Football Moms Pre-Dinner Social will begin at 3:30 and all non-golfers are invited.
Dinner will be served beginning at 6:15. The menu for the buffet dinner is Carved Prime Rib of Beef, Roasted Salmon, Roasted Red Potatoes, Caesar Salad, Chef’s Vegetables, French bread and butter, iced tea and lemonade, and desert. The price for the dinner is $30 (includes tax and gratuity) for non-golfers.
Auction(s) There will be both a silent and live auction. The silent auction will commence at 3:30 and close at 7:30. The live auction will begin at 7:00 and end when all items have been auctioned. For those unsuccessful bidders who wish to contribute to the program we will have a "raise the paddle" at the end of the auction for cash donations.
Important Deadlines The following items must be completed at the time specified in the contract: List of Corporate Sponsors due 14 days prior to event; List of Golf participants due 10 days prior to event; Final dinner count due 5 days prior to event; Final cart count due 3 days prior to account; Balance of funds paid to Lake Wilderness on the day of the event.
We now looking for individuals who would like to participate in the planning and execution of the Live Auction, Silent Auction, Organizing Corporate Sponsors, Organizing Tournament Participants, Hole Event Management (closest to hole, longest drive, etc.), and gear sales.
