| The San Diego Turbos Baseball Club is looking for dependable, dedicated players for our baseball teams. Age is determined by the players age as of 04/30/2010. Players that have experience pitching are highly desirable. 10U - 14U Tryouts for the upcoming season will be held at Southwest Little League from 10am to 12pm on Sunday, July 26th and Sunday, August 2nd. Please arrive 30 minutes early for registration and warm up. You may also want to bring some water or gatorade for your player since it may be hot. | Go Imperial Beach! Baseball has such great memories. One of my best players was a 12 year old pitcher I had back in the 1980's who would take a miniature 'GI Joe' action figure to the mound and place it next to his feet when he pitched (for good luck I suppose--we did win a title that year). But the weird part is that the other teams just laughed. Nobody ever complained about the toy. Have a terrific season! | We had a wonderful season this year.. My son played on the Minor Mariner's. and let me tell you that the coaches were great.. Supportive, and showed my son Edwin how to play ball.. Whether we won or lost, which we lost every game in the season, the coaches were proud of them. That is what we need to see more out there on the field.. In the long run. WE TOOK 1st PLACE, and we r STOKED !! Great job to all the players from all the teams.. AND GO MARINER'S !!! Thanks to Coach Robert, Coach Anthony, and Issac's dad for helping !!! | SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE BASEBALL |
| Southwestern College is offering a hitting school, and a baseball conditioning program during the month of April. The hitting school will be held on Saturdays from 4:30pm to 6pm, April 19th and April 26th, at Southwestern College. The cost is $50 per session, or $90 for both sessions and will include video analysis, and written evaluation. The Baseball Conditioning program will be held Sundays, April 20th, and April 27th from 10am to Noon. The program is a whole body workout based on Major League Baseball conditioning programs put in place by the Yankees, Indians, and Braves. The cost for the conditioning program is $40 per session. Instruction will be provided by Cordell Hipolito, hitting instructor at Southwestern College. Additional instruction will be provided by Brandon Bergstrom, current professional player.
