Thursday, May 22 The Annual Tal Haas Memorial Day Tournament will be held in 2008 This year, 2008, Island Basbeall Club will hold the Annunal Memorial Weekend Baseball Tournament on May 24, 25, and 26 2008. It will be for league PONY 13U teams and PONY Cascade Teams. For informantion email talhaas@msn.com or call 206-915-2255. To register, go to "Handouts" and "2008 Memorial Flyer" download it and fill it out and send deposit to the address given. Brackets will be announced soon. This year there will be only 4 teams in the tournament. LSBA Eastlake Mudcats, MI PONY 13, Black/Green and Maroon/Navy. All teams will play at 10:00am and again at 2:00pm on Sat May 24. Everyone is reminded to be ready for announcements at 9:50am. At 5:00pm on Sat May 24th, we will have Home Run Derby contest. All teams will again play on Sunday at 10:00am. That will complete the round robin competition. Teams will be slotted acording to the following tie break rules; 1. Won - loss record 2. Least runs allowed 3. Most runs scored 4. Coin Flip After the 10:00am games, we will have another competition of "Around the horn". On Sun 5/25 @ 3:00pm, the 3rd place team will play the 4th place team. On Monday 5/26 we will play the Championship game. General Rules; as stated in this year's PONY Rule Book. Wednesday, February 27 General Tournament Rules 1. There will be two Divisions PONY 13U Year Old Division and a PONY Cascade Division. Each Division will have 8 teams. 2. Each Division will be divided into two 4-team Pods. Each team will play all the other teams within their Pod once. 3. Tournament rules will be set at a later date when all divisions are full. 4. Group winners will be based upon won-loss record. If there is a tie, tie breaker procedures will be provided to break the tie without playing additional games. 5. Pod winners will play a single game for their Division Championship. |
