1 Marlboro/Hudson Ambulance vs. 2 Horseshoe Pub

In my opinion, Ambulance is the best team in the league. They’ve got two of the best pitchers in the league, sound defense, and a lineup full of power bats. Their main concern each game will be to try not to use all of their home runs too early in the game. They can also almost match Horseshoe’s speed if they have both Zompettis in the game. Meanwhile, the Pub has the best middle infield in softball, and a fair share of dangerous hitters themselves such as Jeff Wood and Chris Cohelo. The key player for the Horseshoe will be Eric Rich’s crush; it’s not only a leader in the clubhouse, but can also put runs on the board.

1 K-REA Graphing vs. 2 Checkerboards

Though competition in the B Division in the regular season was fairly even throughout, these two teams stood out the most and are certainly deserving of their respective spots in the championship round. Dana Dyer and the boys escaped a nerve-racking semi-final round and looked very impressive their last two games. However, their defense was less than impressive. These guys can’t afford to give Checkerboards any extra outs in this series. If Ed Wencis actually gets a chance to swing the bat, he’ll be the key to the series for Checkerboards, but if K-REA avoids him, his brother Craig will need to produce from the cleanup spot.
