Get your questions answered and be prepared for camp!

Can Teams attend?

Yes! Team Camp runs from July 31 - August 2. Players can register themselves individually online. If any of the team discounts apply, players must contact their coaches for the discount code before registering. Coaches, contact Bill Walton at 713-743-9474 or wwalton@uh.edu if your team is eligible for the team discount. For coaches who wish to register their entire team offline, they must submit a registration packet and payment directly to the camp office.

What is the camp refund policy?

There are no refunds available. All other charges will be credited for next year through arrangement with the camp office.

What forms are required in order for my child to participate?

You must submit a copy of your insurance card, as well as a parent release form. These forms must be submitted before the start of any camp session, or you will not be allowed to participate. These forms can be brought the first day of camp, or mailed in prior to :

What items should my child bring to camp?

Commuters: T-Shirts, Shorts, Knee pads, socks, comfortable playing shoes (avoid new shoes, they cause blisters), water bottle, sack lunch, extra money for vending machines/camp store

Residents: Twin sheets, bedding, pillow, workout clothes, court shoes, sleep clothes, toiletries, towel, alarm clockBack

Commuters: Alumni/Athletics Facility on Cullen Blvd.
Residents: Oberlitzer Dorm off Wheeler St. (follow signs posted for Volleyball Camp)

Directions from George Bush Airport to U of H 1. Take US-59 SOUTH -13.1 mi
2. Exit I-45 SOUTH, towards DALLAS/GALVESTON -0.3 mi

What meals are provided?

For the TEAM CAMP ONLY:
  • Residents get breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Commuters do not receive any meals, and need to bring a sack lunch for in between camp sessions.
For ALL the other camps
  • Residents get breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Commuters get lunch and dinner

What is a typical day like?

Camp check in begins the evening of the first day, followed by a 2 hour session that night. The following full days being with sessions in the morning, a break for lunch, and an additional afternoon-evening session. Residents will participate in fun activities at the dorms with the camp staff after the last evening session.

Is there a medical staff at camp?

An athletic trainer will be present at all sessions, as well as staying overnight in the dorms. All medicine must be registered with the training staff.

Are Resident Camper's Supervised?

Yes. The campers will be instructed to walk in groups with a staff member present. Female staff members monitor the dorm.

When & where should I drop-off & pick-up a commuter camper?

Commuters can be dropped-off & picked-up at the front of the Athletic/Alumni Facility (Cullen & Elgin St.)

How are campers grouped during camp?

Athletes will be grouped by a combination of ability and grade

What medical conditions should I include on the “Release Form”?

Examples of things to include are: diabetes, asthma, recent strains and sprains, as well as any kind of heart or circulatory conditions…anything you feel your court coach and camp athletic trainer should be aware of.

To leave a message for your daughter, call 713-743-9474. If the call is URGENT we will provide you with an emergency cell list of our staff at check in!
