Camp Details

Skills camp runs for five days with one 3-hour session each day. Campers entering 4th,5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th,10th, 11th, 12th and 2009 graduates will go from 1-4pm. All volleyball skills will be taught and reviewed during this camp, with special emphasis on skills related to your position.

This camp is for middle schools and junior high players. The camper will receive a thorough introduction to all the volleyball skills (serving, serve receive, forearm passing, setting, attacking, team defense, blocking, team reception, attack coverage and team transition)! There is a premium placed on performing techniques efficiently. Campers will be trained in a positive coaching environment to promote; an enjoyment of the sport, team concepts and good sportsmanship! Our overnight campers will enjoy the college campus and our resident camper activities in a safe adult monitored environment!

University of Houston, head coach Bill Walton presents the annual “Last Chance Coaches Clinic.” The clinic topics are being discussed; so fell free to send suggestions. The LCCC features on court “live” demonstrations, lecture and discussion. Each coach will receive a certificate of participation for attending the fifteen-hour clinic. The clinic will start at 1:00pm and go to 9:00pm. On the 17th, the clinic will be ran from 8:30am-3:00pm. Meal breaks will be provided!!

Setter’s and Libero’s require very specialized and individualized training; and here at Houston you will get that training! Repetition is the key and you will get thousands of reputations at the Houston camp! A weeks worth of training in a few days!

This camp is for current high school players. An emphasis on offensive and defensive skills for your position! Are you a middle hitter who wants to learn and start perfecting the outside hitter position? This would be the camp for you! Where you a MH on the JV last year and on to the varsity this year? Want to learn all the most advance and elite techniques to becoming a great attacker! Than this is the camp for you!

Middle hitters: footwork for all blocking situations, hitting quick’s from transition, serve receive and the one foot techniques for elite players!

Outside hitters; camp will concentrate on the correct footwork, jump and arm swing mechanics that are vital to the development of an effective hitter. Blocking to attacking front and back row! Improve your serve receive and defense! This camp is will give you the tools!!
