Free Athletic Medicine Hotline
For sports injuries parents can call 24/7 to ask questions if their child has been injured in a game. This hotline is manned by the Institute for Athletic Medicine. The number is:

Parents can call this hotline when their child has a sports related injury and athletic trainers will give advise. They can NOT prescribe any medication but they can advise parents on at home treatments and recommend other services if necessary (ie: when to see a doctor or sports medicine specialist).



Minneapolis Sports Medicine Center
Another service for parents to contact is the Minneapolis Sports Medicine Center. MSMC is the official sports medicine provider for the Minnesota State High School League. The MSMC has a network of sports medicine professionals throughout the Twin Cities metro area, including:

    Primary care specialists in sports medicine
    Orthopaedic surgeons
    Rehabilitation experts
    Certified athletic trainers
