In order to make it easier to register for next season, HYFC is pleased to accept notices of intent for veteran players, their siblings, and new families as well. Please follow these instructions in order to participate:
1) Read the Hollister Pop Warner handbook before you complete the notice of intent so that you can understand the level of committment that is required to participate in these competitive sports.
2) Download & Complete the 2010 notice of intent form -- a separate form must be completed for each child that you wish to register to play in 2010.
3) Email your completed form(s) to the following email address:
registrationhyfc@yahoo.com
If you are supplying notice of intent for more than one child, please attach all forms to the same email.
Hollister Pop Warner registers kids on a "first-come first-served" basis, so do not delay in filing your notice of intent if you wish to play in 2010! Please note that submitting the notice of intent does not guarantee your child a spot on the team. Participants will be assigned to teams in the order their notices of intent were received. Each family will still need to complete the registration process on or about April 1st, 2010.
Number of Teams
Several parents and coaches have asked us how many teams we will field in 2010.
The board has agreed in principle that we must secure viable game fields and qualified coaching staffs before we agree to field any more than one team per age & weight division (Tiny Mite thru Midget). Decisions on the specific number of teams we can field cannot be made until at least Mid-February, and possibly later.
Age of Participants
Your child must be at least six years old on or before July 31st, 2010 in order to participate this year.
Sorry, we are no longer accepting five-year olds, they are welcome to join us in 2011!
Your child must be no older than fifteen on July 31st, 2010 in order to be eligible to play.
Registration FAQ's:
Do I need to send money with my notice of intent?
No, send no money now, the entire registration fee will be due on or about April 1st, 2010, so please plan accordingly.
When will I know whether my child is on a team, and which team they are on?
We do not plan to roster children onto individual teams until March, you will be notified then if your child is on a team, or whether they are on a wait list.
What are the participation fees for 2010?
We have not yet officially set fees for 2010, football registration fee for 2009 was $250, cheer fee was $225 plus uniform costs. HYFC does not anticipate any huge increase in fees for 2010, but we cannot guarantee whether they will be exactly the same as 2009.
Thank you for your interest in participation with Hollister Youth Football & Cheer.
