Just want to send a big "THANK YOU" to all the coaches, parents, players, cheerleaders & board members who helped with the Relay for Life this past Saturday! Your dedication to this cause overwhelmed me, as noone received any volunteer hours or any other recognition for raising money or to be there to walk. That shows the outstanding people that we have in this organization.

Because of your efforts, we raised OVER $4,000! (I don't have the exact numbers yet but will have them for next Tuesday's meeting). We also won the Cameron Bradley Youth Award, which was an amazing honor considering this was our first year participating!

A special thanks goes to Pepper Soto & her Junior Midget Cheer team who raised the most out of all our teams. Pepper also get a special thanks for the great megaphones & footballs she had painted for our booth, which really made it look very spirited! Another goes to Cindy Grimaldo for helping with the 2am to 6am (ugh!) shift that she & I shared. Thanks for helping me stay awake! One more to Stacy Andrade, Bri & Dean Roy, Travis Roy & Clay Schwall for staying for cleanup & to John Barrios for being there for setup & cleanup.

Another special thanks to Zach Andrade, (yes he's my son & I'm bragging but he deserves it) who showed amazing dedication to this cause! He went to every meeting since we became co-chairs, stayed for the entire Relay for Life event (only crashing for about 2 hours when he just couldn't stay awake anymore) & had some great ideas for fundraising that we didn't get to do this year but would love to put in place for next year's event (that planning starts in January)!

Thank you all again! None of this is possible without a combined effort & I consider this a HUGE success!
