Important Notice : (updated 09/15/09)


Registration for the 2009 Fall Softball season has ended. and games have begun. 

 

Evaluations will be held to determine proper divisional placement.


· 10 and Under (No older than 10 as of 12/31/08) - The 10 and Under Team is mainly instructional…. your child will learn the basics of softball and play in games with parents/volunteers as Umpires. There is a minimum of two seasons at this level for anyone under 10.  This level is not available in the Fall.


· 12 and Under Minors (No older than 12 as of 12/31/08) – The minor league teams build on the instruction received at the 10U level. There are no coaches pitching and rules additions allow base stealing. Team competition increases with other towns; limited umpiring.  Players 10 and under must complete two seasons of instruction and pass evaluations before moving up to this level.


· 12 and Under Majors (No older than 12 as of 12/31/08) – For the most experienced and skilled of the 12U players. All games are umpired.

 

-14 and Under (No older than 14 as of 12/31/08) - New level for middle school players.  All games are umpired. This level may combine with 16U.


16 and Under (No older than 16 as of 12/31/08) – All games are umpired. Competition with teams from other towns.

Fees cover the costs of the uniform shirt, socks & visor, equipment, and Umpires. For all teams, at all levels, the emphasis is on fun and camaraderie. The teams will have one practice and one game per week in the fall season.  If you have any questions, please call the Hollis Rec Hotline @ 465-2671
