2016 Girls Recreation Softball Information



This is a Recreation program, only.  All levels of Girls Recreation Softball feature a Coach Pitch format and are based on grades as of the 2015-2016 school year.  Listed below are the respective leagues being offered and the timelines associated with them all. 

  • WHO
    • Girls 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Grades
    • Girls 4th, 5th, & 6th Grades
  •  FEE
    • $25.00 which includes a t-shirt and medal
  •  REGISTRATION/FEE DEADLINES
    • $25.00 fee through May 6
    • $30.00 fee through May 9
    • Registration Deadline is May 13
  •  REGISTRATION OPTIONS
    • For Mail-In Registration click the "Registration Forms" tab listed to the left of the home page, fill it out, and mail (with payment, checks to Holland Township. Recreation) to the following address...

    • Walk -In Registration hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm at the address listed above
  •  PROGRAM TIMELINES
    • Coaches Meeting on Wednesday, June 1 
      • Coaches will meet at 6pm at the Holland Charter Township Offices for a quick meeting and then you will proceed to the Quincy Park Maintenance Building located at 14151 Quincy St.  for equipment pick-up. Equipment game/practice schedules and rosters will be handed out as well as rules and concussion information being reviewed by HCT Recreation staff.  Coaches should contact their players, immediately
    • Practices
      • Practices will be scheduled for the weeks of June 6 & 13
      • 3-4 total practices will be scheduled between the days of Monday through Thursday.  Practice times will be 6pm & 7:15pm
    •  Games
      • Games will be scheduled the weeks of June 20, 27 & first part of July.
      • 6-7 games will be scheduled per league with game times slated for 6pm & 7:15pm. 
      • Sites have yet to be determined. 
      • Teams will play twice a week (unless they have a bye) between Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday.  The hope is to keep Thursdays open for rainout games, if needed.
      • The week of July 4, we may play in the later part of the week, since July 4 (Monday) will be on a holiday weekend.
