Safety Classes: Snowmobile Safety Class Info

2014 Snowmobile Safety Class

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department will be offering a Snowmobile Safety class.  This class is classroom lecture only and covers the laws, riding techniques and other safety concerns.  Certificates will be handed out at the end of the class to all successful participants.

A person who is at least 12 but less than 17 years of age...

  • May operate a snowmobile if they have a valid snowmobile safety certificate in their immediate possession or are under direct supervision of a person 21 years of age or older
  • May not cross a highway or street without having a valid snowmobile safety certificate in their immediate possession

The class is recommended for students 12 & older but is open to any age.  Students under 12 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian (not older siblings).  Class is open to the first 25 students.

Class will be held at the Holland Charter Township Fire Station on Riley St. just east of 136th Avenue. and will be held from 5:30pm-9:00pm on Tuesday, December 2.

The cost is $10.00 per student.
