Boys Little League Baseball Games Cancelled for April 28

Due to poor field conditions and the current weather we are experiencing...all Holland Township Boys' Little League Baseball games have been cancelled for Thursday, April 28.  Makeup information will be announced at a later time

Monday, April 18
Middle School Lacrosse Training Camp

For the first time West Ottawa, Holland Christian, and Holland Township are collaborating on a Girls Middle School Lacrosse option that we hope will become a full fledged team program in 2017.  For now we are offering a training camp with sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm on April 19, 20, 26, 27, May 3 and 4.  The sessions will take place at the north portion of the Quincy Park Soccer/Baseball complex next to the full size baseball field.  The cost is $70.00.  Please contact us for more information

Deadlines Approaching For T-ball and Coach Pitch Registration

The deadlines for T-ball and Coach Pitch registration is approaching.  Currently the fee stands at $25.00.  That will go up to $30.00 beginning May 6.  The final deadline for these programs is May 13.  Please make sure to get signed up ASAP!

2016 Winter & Spring Programs Announced - Registration Available Immediately

Spring programs are either now available for registration or are starting this week!! Postcards were sent out through the schools on the Northside of Holland during the week of January 18. For years we have put together a single flyer highlighting our programs, however due to rising costs as well as the desire to look for alternative ways to get our information out we have changed our program advertising processes. Below are ways that you may find out more program information & details for our fall and winter programs... 

  • Post Cards 
    • Larger-sized post cards were sent through the school during the second week of school. These post cards feature program listings, contact information, and our local business partners. Our intent with these post cards is to get parents and participants to go to our website for program & registration information.
  • Web Site Listing
    • We will continue to offer a sub-sites listed on our web site for all of our programs offered. Click on the appropriate sub-site listing for specific information on each program that we offer
      • Boys Little League Baseball, Boys Coach Pitch Baseball, Boys T-ball
        • Little League baseball is closed, T-ball and Coach Pitch are still open
      • Girls Little League Softball, Girls Middle School Softball, Girls Coach Pitch, Girls T-ball
        • Little League softball is closed, Coach Pitch and T-ball are still open
      • Hunter & Boater Safety Classes
      • Daddy/Daughter Dance, Easter Egg Hunt (Miscellaneous Youth Programs)
        • Both programs have concluded
      • Adult Softball Leagues, Michigan ASA Tournaments, Michigan ASA Junior Olympic Class B
        • Contact the City of Holland for local league play and Holland Township for tournament play
      • Programs from local businesses including the Storm Training Center, BAM, USA Soccer, Soccer Stop Sportsplex and Fabiano's Karate are listed under the sub-site "Local Business Program Options"
  • E-Mail Blasts
    • Each school that receives postcards from Holland Township Recreation will receive an e-mail from us that we hope they will pass on to their students' parents, via e-mail. We will also e-mail our program information through our Constant Contact service to email lists that we have on file
  • Detailed Flyer
    • A more detailed flyer will also be listed on the web site, however, whatever is listed there will also be on each sub-site listing, too.  Click the "Forms,Flyers, & Policies" tab to view and/or download a brochure  

Scholarship Application Information

The 2016 Holland Charter Township Recreation Scholarship Application is available on the Holland Township Recreation web site.  In order to obtain a scholarship for recreation programs you will need to review and fill out the 2016 application completely as well as supply the necessary documentation to support the application. 

The scholarship program now features the possibility of a 25% to 75% reduction in recreation fees, if you qualify. The scholarship program is for Holland Township residents, ONLY!!! Programs that are coordinated by outside businesses or organizations are not eligible for scholarships. 

Only (1) one scholarship application is required to be completed per participant for the calendar year. Only (1) scholarship is available per participant per calendar year. Download a copy of the Holland Township Recreation Scholarship form by clicking the "Forms, Flyers, & Policies" tab listed to the left of the Home Page.
