2016 Fall & Winter Programs Announced - Registration Available Immediately

Holland Township Recreation Fall & Winter Programs are now available for registration!! Postcards were sent out through the schools on the Northside of Holland during the week of September 19th. Below are ways that you may find out more program information & details for our upcoming fall and winter programs... 

  • Large -Sized Post Cards 
    • These post cards feature program listings, contact information, and our local business partners. Our intent with these post cards is to get parents and participants to go to our website for more program & registration information.
  • Web Site Listing
    • We will continue to offer a sub-sites listed on our web site for all programs that we offer. Click on the appropriate sub-site on our website for specific information on each program that we offer
      • Girls Youth Basketball (Little Panthers Part I) & Intro to Basketball
      • Elementary & Middle School Dance
      • Adult Women's Volleyball
      • Girls Lakeshore Area Basketball League (Little Panthers Part II)
      • Miscellaneous Programs - Intro to basketball and Punt, Pass, & Kick
      • Holland Community Aquatic Center
      • Programs from local businesses including the Storm Training Center, BAM, USA, Soccer Stop Sportsplex, Great Lakes Equestrian, and Fabiano's Karate are listed under the sub-site "Local Business Program Options"
  • E-Mail Blasts
    • Each school that receives postcards from Holland Township Recreation will receive an e-mail from us that we hope they will pass on to their students' parents, via e-mail. We will also e-mail our program information through our Constant Contact service to emails that we have on file
  • Detailed Flyer
    • A more detailed flyer will also be listed on the web site, however, whatever is listed there will also be on each sub-site listing, too.  Click the "Forms,Flyers, & Policies" tab to view and/or download a brochure

Winners Crowned in Local Competition

The Holland area crowned six local winners in the local level of the NFL Punt, Pass, & Kick competition held on Sunday, September 11, at the Matt Urban Complex.  Winners included Eden Irvin-Garcia (Girls 6/7), London Bateman (Boys 6/7), Mirra Fenlon (Girls 8/9), Elliott Irvin-Garcia (Boys 8/9), JaQuari Tyler (boys 10/11), and Daniel Castaneda (Boys 12/13).  These individuals will advance to the Sectional competition on October 9 at 12pm at West Ottawa High School.  For a complete list of all the scores click "Miscellaneous Youth Programs" sub site listing below and then click the "Forms/Results" tab listed to the left of that home page

Tuesday, September 6
Tiny Tacklers Start Date Clarified

Tiny Tacklers will begin on Tuesday, September 13.  The online registration process had the correct dates while the walk-in information did not.  This program will take place at the Quincy Park Little League Complex from 6:30pm-7:30pm on September 13, 20, 27, and October 4.  Hopefully there is no confusion on the start date

Scholarship Application Information

The 2016 Holland Charter Township Recreation Scholarship Application is available on the Holland Township Recreation web site.  In order to obtain a scholarship for recreation programs you will need to review and fill out the 2016 application completely as well as supply the necessary documentation to support the application. 

The scholarship program now features the possibility of a 25% to 75% reduction in recreation fees, if you qualify. The scholarship program is for Holland Township residents, ONLY!!! Programs that are coordinated by outside businesses or organizations are not eligible for scholarships. 

Only (1) one scholarship application is required to be completed per participant for the calendar year. Only (1) scholarship is available per participant per calendar year. Download a copy of the Holland Township Recreation Scholarship form by clicking the "Forms, Flyers, & Policies" tab listed to the left of the Home Page.
