2017 Winter & Spring Programs Announced - Registration Available Immediately



Holland Township Recreation Spring Programs have been announced. Postcards have been sent out through the schools on the Northside of Holland during the week of January 9th. Online and Walk-in registration will also be available beginning the week of January 9.  Below are ways that you may find out more program information & details for our upcoming fall and winter programs... 

  • Large -Sized Post Cards 
    • These post cards feature program listings, contact information, and our local business partners. Our intent with these post cards is to get parents and participants to go to our website for more program & registration information.
  • Web Site Listing
    • We will continue to offer a sub-sites listed on our web site for all programs that we offer. Click on the appropriate sub-site on our website for specific information on each program that we offer
      • Boys Baseball & T-ball
        • Little League, Coach Pitch, T-ball
      • Girls Softball & T-ball
        • Little League, Middle School, Coach Pitch, T-ball
      • Safety Courses
        • Hunter Safety, Boater Safety
      • Daddy/Daughter Dance
      • Girls Middle School Lacrosse
      • Holland Community Aquatic Center
      • Programs from local businesses including the Storm Training Center, BAM, USA, Soccer Stop Sportsplex, Great Lakes Equestrian, and Fabiano's Karate are listed under the sub-site "Local Business Program Options"
  • E-Mail Blasts
    • Each school that receives postcards from Holland Township Recreation will receive an e-mail from us that we hope they will pass on to their students' parents, via e-mail. We will also e-mail our program information through our Constant Contact service to emails that we have on file
  • Detailed Flyer
    • A more detailed flyer will also be listed on the web site, however, whatever is listed there will also be on each sub-site listing, too.  Click the "Forms & Flyers" tab to view and/or download a brochure

Hope College National Girls & Women in Sports Day



Hope College is, once agian, offering an opprtunity for all Middle School aged girls to participate in the 2017 National Girls and Women in Sports Day on January 18.  This program involves attending an evening of special events featuring Hope College female student-athletes as well as admission to the Flying Dutch basketball game that evening as they take on the Alma College Scots.

Hope College Winter Softball Camp



Hope College will be offering a Winter Softball Camp on Saturday, February 18, from 8:30am-3pm.  This clinic will feature instruction on offensive and defensive skills as well as specific instruction on pitching and coaching.  All instruction will feature Hope College coaches and players.  For more information, including registration, you can click this link (http://www.hope.edu/offices/events-conferences/hope-camps/softball-camps.html) or download the brochure by clicking the "Flyers & Forms" tab to the left of this home page

West Ottawa's London Bateman Places 3rd in State Punt, Pass & Kick Finals



Congratulations to London Bateman who finished in third place for the 6-7 year old division of the NFL's Punt, Pass, & Kick State Finals that took place at Ford Field during the Detroit Lions/Jacksonville Jaguars game on November 20.  London won both the local and regional contests hosted by Holland Township and earned a trip to the state finals as one of the top four finishers in his age group.  London is a student at West Ottawa's Lakewood Elementary School.  Way to go, London Bateman!

 



Scholarship Application Information

The 2016 Holland Charter Township Recreation Scholarship Application is available on the Holland Township Recreation web site.  In order to obtain a scholarship for recreation programs you will need to review and fill out the 2016 application completely as well as supply the necessary documentation to support the application. 

The scholarship program now features the possibility of a 25% to 75% reduction in recreation fees, if you qualify. The scholarship program is for Holland Township residents, ONLY!!! Programs that are coordinated by outside businesses or organizations are not eligible for scholarships. 

Only (1) one scholarship application is required to be completed per participant for the calendar year. Only (1) scholarship is available per participant per calendar year. Download a copy of the Holland Township Recreation Scholarship form by clicking the "Forms, Flyers, & Policies" tab listed to the left of the Home Page.
