Easter Egg Hunt Slated For Saturday, April 15 at Howard B. Dunton Park



An easter Egg Hunt will take place at Howrad B. Dunton Park (click the "Locations" tab for directions) with activities beginning at 10am with the actual event taking place at 11am.  Children up to age 12 are invited to participate.  a very special thank you needs to be said for Jody Dinger who created this event 14 years ago and to Nicole Kayser and Haeleigh Perterson for organizing it this year.  We are grateful to have such a quality grpup of people who help make this happen

Spring Program Registration Reminder

Don't forget to register for the following spring & summer programs - Boys & Girls Tball, Boys 1st Grade Coach Pitch Baseball, Boys 2nd Grade Coach Pitch Baseball, Girls 1st-3rd Grade Coach Pitch Softball and Girls 4th-6th Grade Coach Pitch Softball. These programs are slated to begin with practices the first week of June, with games beginning in the middle of June. Registration Deadline for these programs is Friday, May 12th @ 5:00pm. Michigan DNR Park Here Program Info



The Michigan Department of Natural Resources recently began its Park Here campaign to promote its Recreation Passport and Michigan’s outdoor destinations.

2017 Winter & Spring Programs Announced - Registration Available Immediately



Holland Township Recreation Spring Programs have been announced. Postcards have been sent out through the schools on the Northside of Holland during the week of January 9th. Online and Walk-in registration will also be available beginning the week of January 9.  Below are ways that you may find out more program information & details for our upcoming fall and winter programs... 

  • Large -Sized Post Cards 
    • These post cards feature program listings, contact information, and our local business partners. Our intent with these post cards is to get parents and participants to go to our website for more program & registration information.
  • Web Site Listing
    • We will continue to offer a sub-sites listed on our web site for all programs that we offer. Click on the appropriate sub-site on our website for specific information on each program that we offer
      • Boys Baseball & T-ball
        • Little League, Coach Pitch, T-ball
      • Girls Softball & T-ball
        • Little League, Middle School, Coach Pitch, T-ball
      • Safety Courses
        • Hunter Safety, Boater Safety
      • Daddy/Daughter Dance

  • E-Mail Blasts
    • Each school that receives postcards from Holland Township Recreation will receive an e-mail from us that we hope they will pass on to their students' parents, via e-mail. We will also e-mail our program information through our Constant Contact service to emails that we have on file

    • A more detailed flyer will also be listed on the web site, however, whatever is listed there will also be on each sub-site listing, too.  Click the "Forms & Flyers" tab to view and/or download a brochure  


Scholarship Application Information



The 2017 Holland Charter Township Recreation Scholarship Application is available on the Holland Township Recreation web site.  In order to obtain a scholarship for recreation programs you will need to review and fill out the 2016 application completely as well as supply the necessary documentation to support the application. 

The scholarship program now features the possibility of a 25% to 75% reduction in recreation fees, if you qualify. The scholarship program is for Holland Township residents, ONLY!!! Programs that are coordinated by outside businesses or organizations are not eligible for scholarships. 

Only (1) one scholarship application is required to be completed per participant for the calendar year. Only (1) scholarship is available per participant per calendar year. Download a copy of the Holland Township Recreation Scholarship form by clicking the "Flers & Forms" tab listed to the left of the Home Page.
