Safety Classes: Welcome

Hunter Safety

Holland Township is proud to partner with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department in offering a variety of Safety Classes including Hunters' Safety, Boaters' Safety, Snowmobile Safety, and ORV/ATV  Safety.  These are the DNR sponsored classes with official certificates being issued upon passing each respective class.

All classes feature size limits and cost $10.00 per class.  You must attend the required date(s) for each class in order to obtain your certificate of completion.  These classes are open to people of all ages, however, if a participant is under the age of 12, they must be accompanied by a parent during the duration of each class.

All classes are held at the Holland Township Riley St. Fire Station just east of 136th Avenue.  For specific directions and a map to the facility click the "Locations" button to the left of this page and click on the icon titled "Riley St. Fire Station".

Hunter Safety Home Study Course for September 3 Is Now Full

The classroom session for the September Home Study Course for Hunter Safety is now full.  We will no longer accept registrations for this class.  However, if you are able to take an online course and have proof of passing said course you will be allowed to participate at our Range Time scheduled for Saturday, September 6, from 8am-11am at the Tulip City Rod & Gun Club.  Just contact us at 616-395-0178 for more details and for us to add you to the list for the Range Time option, pending proof of completion.
