Hall Of Fame: 2008 Hall of Fame Categories
This award is named after the first Recreation Director for Holland Charter Township, Mr. Wally Hasty. This award recognizes an individual whose contributions were instrumental to the successes of the past, present, and even the future. This award also recognizes an individual for their sincere desire and willingness to not only give back to the community, but has helped make it a better place.
Business Leadership Award
This award recognizes contributions made by a local and/or area business that has promoted this community, given back to this community in a positive manner, and has been involved in Holland Charter Township Parks & Recreation programming.
Civic Leadership Award
This award recognizes individual/s at the local, county, state, and/or national levels that have contributed to the development, organization, and administration of Parks & Recreation opportunities in Holland Charter Township
Individual Award of Excellence
This award is designed to honor an individual that has excelled locally, state-wide, and/or nationally in a given sport and/or event, but also helps to bring name recognition to our community through that success of his/her athletic achievement, as well as being a positive example in how they give back to the community
Team Award of Excellence
This award is designed to honor a team that has excelled locally, state-wide, and/or nationally in a given sport and/or event, but also helps to bring name recognition to our community through the success of the team’s athletic achievement, but also by being a positive example in how they give back to the community
Youth Coaching Excellence
This award is new for 2008 and will be given to individuals that have been involved in multiple youth sports as coaches and mentors. This award highlights the commitment and enthusiasm of individuals that have given back to our programs in a positive way as volunteer coaches.
Community Partnership Award
This award is designed to honor an entity that has partnered with the Parks & Recreation Department of Holland Charter Township in the administration, organization, and professional development of parks & recreation programming for Holland’s north side. The winner of this award has enhanced both the quantity and the quality of program offerings.
