2016 Daddy Daughter Dance

Dads, uncles, brothers, grandpa and beyond, bring your special lady out for a Valentines Date Night Out of dancing and fun with Holland Township Recreation at our annual Daddy Daughter Dance on Thursday, February 11th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Macatawa Bay Middle School in the cafeteria. Dance is open for Girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Light refreshments will be provided, each lady will recieve a flower,
and the couple will have a special keepsake picture taken to remember the fun night! The cost to attend this special event is $20.00 per couple, and $5.00 for each additional child.

Please register up at the Holland Township Recreation Office in-person or register online at
www.signmeup.com/112149. The online registration deadline is Monday, February 8th.

Proposed Recreation Center - Public Input Requested

The public is invited and encouraged to provide comments and input on the proposed CRC. First, we ask that you consider filling out an online survey that will help us determine what the greater community may consider to be the most important aspects and amenities for a possible CRC.  The online survey is located at the following link:

Second, two public input sessions will be held to explain a feasibility study and the current conceptual design, and to request public comments and feedback on the facility concept, possible additions and/or deletions and other factors to be considered.  The public input sessions are scheduled to take place in the Board Room at the Holland Charter Township Office, 353 North 120th Avenue (between Lakewood Blvd & James Street):

  • Tuesday, January 19, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
  • Wednesday, January 20, 12 noon - 1:00pm

2016 Winter & Spring Programs Announced - Registration Available Immediately

All Winter & Spring programs are now available for registration!! Postcards will be sent out through the schools on the Northside of Holland by the first part of the week of January 18. For years we have put together a single flyer highlighting our programs, however due to rising costs as well as the desire to look for alternative ways to get our information out we have changed our program advertising processes. Below are ways that you may find out more program information & details for our fall and winter programs... 

  • Post Cards 
    • Larger-sized post cards were sent through the school during the second week of school. These post cards feature program listings, contact information, and our local business partners. Our intent with these post cards is to get parents and participants to go to our website for program & registration information.
  • Web Site Listing
    • We will continue to offer a sub-sites listed on our web site for all of our programs offered. Click on the appropriate sub-site listing for specific information on each program that we offer
      • Boys Little League Baseball, Boys Coach Pitch Baseball, Boys T-ball
      • Girls Little League Softball, Girls Middle School Softball, Girls Coach Pitch, Girls T-ball
      • Hunter & Boater Safety Classes
      • Daddy/Daughter Dance, Easter Egg Hunt (Miscellaneous Youth Programs)
      • Adult Softball Leagues, Michigan ASA Tournaments, Michigan ASA Junior Olympic Class B

  • E-Mail Blasts
    • Each school that receives postcards from Holland Township Recreation will receive an e-mail from us that we hope they will pass on to their students' parents, via e-mail. We will also e-mail our program information through our Constant Contact service to email lists that we have on file
  • Detailed Flyer
    • A more detailed flyer will also be listed on the web site, however, whatever is listed there will also be on each sub-site listing, too.  Click the "Forms,Flyers, & Policies" tab to view and/or download a brochure  

Scholarship Application Information

The 2015 Holland Charter Township Recreation Scholarship Application is available on the Holland Township Recreation web site.  In order to obtain a scholarship for recreation programs you will need to review and fill out the 2015 application completely as well as supply the necessary documentation to support the application. 

The scholarship program now features the possibility of a 25% to 75% reduction in recreation fees, if you qualify. The scholarship program is for Holland Township residents, ONLY!!! Programs that are coordinated by outside businesses or organizations are not eligible for scholarships. 

Only (1) one scholarship application is required to be completed per participant for the calendar year. Only (1) scholarship is available per participant per calendar year. Download a copy of the Holland Township Recreation Scholarship form by clicking the "Forms, Flyers, & Policies" tab listed to the left of the Home Page.
