Hockey in Middletown: HIM Minutes/News : MINUTES OF MEETING 08/22/09

HIM Meeting Minutes 8/22/09 

·         Meeting called to order by President  Bob Doyle

·         Minutes from last meeting approved. Motion to approve by Joe Dickinson, 2^nd Carla Rodriquez.

·         BOE - $55,000 allocated to HIM for this school year.

·         NJ devils Arena – 1^st North vs. South game approved for Dec. 5, 2009. Devils game to follow. This is an official game. Players will be bused to and from game.

·         Car Wash – Sept. 12^th @ MHSN this year. All players should try to attend. Time 9am – 1pm

·         Treasurer’s Report – motion to accept by Rich Buonomo, 2^nd George Felice.

·         Motion made to move $40,000 from checking to 2 CD’s. Motion accepted.

·         Dinner Dance- we need volunteers. Carla Rodriguez and Bernie mature will be running Dinner Dance. A meeting will be Tuesday August 25^th @ 7:30 at Bob Doyle’s. Bob Doyle to handle 50/50.  Dinner Dance this year represents 10 year Anniversary. DVD will be made. We need pictures. Please submit by Sept. 1^st.

·         Wall will be having HS House League.

·         Season – Tryouts will be November 15^th 4:00 – 6:00 PM or 6:00 – 8:00 PM

·         Practice/Games – times will be same as last year.

·         There are now 17 high schools playing out of Wall

·         Captains Clinic –  Captain’s clinic will begin Sept 22^nd and 24^th @ Wall run by Mike Reynolds. Last week of Captain’s clinic will be Nov. 13^th

·         Appleback Uniform co is able to create our uniforms at possibly a lesser cost. Will produce Hockey bags as well.

·         Consider investing in shells – cost approximately $45 each.  Motion approved for 40 shells each school.
