HOCKEY IN MIDDELTOWNMINUTES OF MEETING 9/25/07 The meeting was called to order by President George Felice at approximately 8:05. The minutes from the August 25, 2007 meeting were accepted by Ellen De Maio and seconded by Tina Evans. MINUTES – Minutes from the 8/25/07 meeting were approved. Accepted Mary Johnson. Seconded Tina Evans.ELECTIONS-Held this evening for the one open seat. Ellen DeMaio is running uncontested. Board and members acknowledged Jane Brown for all of her service and hard work through the years and the last two years as recording secretary. Ellen Demaio was elected by the eligible voting members.TREASURER’S REPORT –accepted by RJ Kirk and seconded by Ellen DeMaio.Two-thirds of the payments for the season have been made to the board.CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS – It is anticipated that Commerce Bank will forward us a check in February 2008 regarding the Affinity Program. DINNER DANCE- has been set for 10/19/07 at Gibbs Hall. Volunteers are needed to help in all areas. More gifts are needed for baskets. North and South baskets are being made up.SUPER 50/50 – 400 tickets at $25.00 a piece have been distributed. The winner will receive $5000.00 and HIM will receive $5000.00.CAPTAINS CLINICS - the information is the same as last month.TRYOUTS- Dates are as follows:They will begin 11/15/07---more information will follow.MODELL’S FUND RAISER –we will hold this fund raiser again this year. 10% off anything in the store and HIM will receive 5% of all orders. It will be held the same time this year. Thanksgiving weekend thru December.DEVILS GAME FUND RAISER – this will be done jointly with MYAA. We will try for high school night at the Arena.NORTH LOCKER ROOM AT WALL- the North locker room at Wall still needs to be painted. Volunteers are needed.CLOTHING – North and South Booster Clubs will give us clothing items and blankets to sell at our games. We need volunteers to help coordinate the clothing sales.JV – they will have Sunday or Saturday night games..MEMBERSHIP – the price for a family membership for 2008 will remain at $25.00. Please be sure to renew your membership. Applications are available at the meetings.PHOTO FUND RAISER – there is a possibility that we will have a photo fund raiser this season. A photographer will take action photos during the games and they will be available for purchase. You will be able to pick your photos on line.UNIFORMS- Have been ordered at a cost of just over $12,000. They will have a one year guarantee. We are looking for a new way to distribute the uniforms. Possibly have the pickup at a meeting with the parents present. This year the players will have to return the uniforms from the prior year before they will be given a uniform for the current year.SOUTH BOOSTER CLUB – HIM will be allowed to run the concession at the Thanksgiving day football game. We will keep all the proceeds. Volunteers are needed to help. The meeting was adjourned at 9:15.
