HOCKEY IN MIDDLETOWNMINUTES OF MEETING 8/25/07 The meeting was called to order by President George Felice. The minutes from the June 18, 2007 meeting were accepted by Chris Danish and seconded by RJ Kirk..TREASURER’S REPORT –Next year’s budget set by the BOE is set at $118,000.00 minus the $35,000.00 from the board. We have an additional credit to our account from last year of $7,000.00 which brings our total to $76,000.00 over 3 payments. The report was accepted by RJ Kirk and seconded by Steve Bodeker. In addition, HIM has additional costs, including new uniforms and other expenses, which will add around $20,000 to this amount for the current year. CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS – Commerce Bank offers an Affinity Program to non profit organizations. A list should be coming out quarterly that will provide a list to let us see who is signed up (no amounts just names) and how much money will be forthcoming in total. PARENT DONATIONS - Our organization is funded by donations. Without this money the organization will not exist. We urge all our parents to send in their donations as soon as possible. Payment plans are available as well as credit card payments. MIDDLE SCHOOL CLINICS- the clinics were a success. Jams Van Riemsdyk ran the final one on 7/3/07. Thank you to all involved. UNIFORMS – a motion was made by John Waltz to purchase new uniforms. The motion was seconded by RJ Kirk. We require 160 jerseys/socks @ Approx $75.00= $12,000.00. A handout was distributed with information. CAR WASH- we raised approximately $1,900.00. Great job!! DEVIL”S STADIUM- Rich Buonomo sent North and South jerseys to the stadium to be displayed. Date to be announced for high school night. ICE TIME- Practice slots are tentative---schools not yet determined. Practice: Mon. 4:45-5:45PM 5:00-6:00PM Wed. 3:15-4:15PM Thurs 3:`15-4:15PM 4:15-5:15PM Fri. 4:40-5:30PM Game SlotsTues 5:15-7:00PM 7:15-9:00PM with an additional ½ hour of ice time, possibly for practice. Tryouts dates to be announced. MAYOR’S CUP- we are looking for a Friday slot. CAPTAIN’S CLINIC- This year’s dates: Start for south on Sept 26 - 3:30-4:30PM, start for north on Sept 27 - 3:30-4:30PM. Run for 7 weeks. JV- this year there will be 12 teams. Will begin the first week of December 2007. DINNER/DANCE: has been set for Friday, 10/19/07 at Gibbs Hall. Tickets are $65.00/person. Janet Felice and Kim Saulnier are chairpersons. We need volunteers to solicit business. Look for emails for updating information. SUPER 50/50- will be going out soon. NORTH COACH- Neil Leone will be the head coach for North this year. Mike Zaccardi will be his assistant plus two additional assistants. ELECTIONS- will be held at the Sept 25th meeting. Recording secretary is the only office open. A list of all eligible members will be sent to George Felice. Please attend the meeting to cast your vote.
