Monday, June 1 Hockessin Thunder 2009 State Champs heading to US Youth Soccer Region I Championships As the 2009 U-12 boys Delaware State Champs, Hockessin Thunder will be representing Delaware at the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships to be held July 2 - 7, 2009 in Huntingdon, West Virginia. Go Thunder! Saturday, February 21 Our spring schedule for MSSL has been posted. The schedule has been posted. Some games still do not have a location or time but will be updated on the site as soon as we have those.
Saturday, February 21 Jefferson Cup schedule has been posted The schedule for Jefferson Cup has been posted along with a link for directions to the fields. Saturday, February 21 Hockessin Thunder to play in the Jefferson Cup at Richmond, Virginia The Hockessin Thunder has again been selected to play in the Jefferson Cup at Richmond, Virginia on March 14, 15 2009. With over 600 teams applying and hundreds being turned down congratulations goes out to the Thunder.
Tuesday, November 4 Hockessin Thunder to play in the Hempfield Classic.
The Hockessin Thunder has been accepted to play in the Hempfield Classic soccer tournament on November 22, 23, 2008 in Lancaster, Pa. The schedule has been posted. The schedule for Saturday morning games has been changed due to weather. The start time for the first game has been pushed back to 9:00 am. The second game will now start at 12:15 pm. Monday, May 26 Hockessin Thunder U11 FC Delco Players Cup Champions!

The Hockessin Thunder went a perfect 5-0 in the 2008 FC Delco Players Cup out scoring the opposition by a margin of 21-4. It was a perfect ending to a great season for the Thunder. Congratulations to all the boys who once again gave everything they had throughout the tournament. You are champions and it is well deserved.
Monday, March 17 Hockessin Thunder goes undefeated at Jefferson Cup!
The Hockessin Thunder had a strong showing in their first trip to Jefferson Cup. The team went undefeated going 1-0-2 in bracket play and just came up short of advancing to the Championship game. The Thunder earned a tie in the first game against a strong FC Bucks team with it ending 1-1. They also earned a tie against the Top 25 Nationally ranked and Top 5 Regionally ranked Century United with a hard fought 2-2 score. Century turned out to be the eventual Champions. The Thunder closed out the tournament with an impressive 6-0 victory against Yardley-Makefield. A huge congratulations goes out to each and every player on the Thunder. David, Danny, Sam J., Jake C., Chris, Tyler, Jake M., Evan, A.J. W., Logan, A.J. C., Sam C., Kyle, Braden, Niko. Great job boys!!! You all played your heart out. |
