2009 U-12 Delaware State Champions!

Thunder had a 5-0-0 record in their inaugural State Cup campaign.  During the teams run for the title, they outscored their competition by putting in 14 goals and gave up only one goal the entire tournament.

The Hockessin Thunder Academy Team is a U12 boys’ team that represents one of the premier clubs in Delaware.  We are affiliated with the Delaware Youth Soccer Association (DYSA) and US Club Soccer.

The HSC Thunder Academy team is part of an advanced program committed to developing their players at the highest level.  The Hockessin Academy Program provides a competitive atmosphere in which players may develop their technical and tactical abilities in a setting that encourages good sportsmanship and the development of personal character.  Each player is motivated to perform to the best of their ability and participates on a team that grows and moves forward together.

Our Head Coach, Keith Keomanikhoth, currently holds a USSF National D and USSF National C licenses.  Keith is also the U12-Age Group Coordinator, U16-Boys’ Head Coach, and is a member of the HSC Training Staff.  His previous coaching experience includes being the Newark H.S. Boys’ Assistant Head Coach, Newark H.S. Girls’ Assistant Head Coach, and as a Delaware Olympic Development Program Head Coach.

Keith has played for several elite youth teams and the Delaware Olympic Development Program.  He was named the 1991 Delaware High School "Player of the Year" which earned him a Gatorade All-American Team selection.  He was a member of the University of Delaware Men's Soccer Team.

The schedule has been posted. Some games still do not have a location or time but will be updated on the site as soon as we have those. 

The Hockessin Thunder has again been selected to play in the Jefferson Cup at Richmond, Virginia on March 14, 15 2009. With over 600 teams applying and hundreds being turned down congratulations goes out to the Thunder.

 The Hockessin Thunder has been accepted to play in the Hempfield Classic soccer tournament on November 22, 23, 2008 in Lancaster, Pa.

 The schedule has been posted. 

The schedule for Saturday morning games has been changed due to weather. The start time for the first game has been pushed back to 9:00 am. The second game will now start at 12:15 pm.
