Coach Schlueter wins NCAA March Madness pool
For 3 years CC alumni have hosted a March Madness pool on Yahoo! Past winners = Karen Schmidt for 2004 and Roger Klepacki for 2005.
Coach Schlueter showed who's the smartest (in what we label "The Battle of the Morons") and won the fabulous prize -- a Dick Vitale Talking Alarm Clock/Radio!
Well done, Coach.

...I want you young studs to get in shape. I'd like to beat the high school team, and with a little endurance work, and a few hills, we should have 5 fast alums.
It was great seeing Connie Truedson and his mom after almost 30 years. I had some pictures and articles from the past, but with the rain I didn't dare unwrap them. Treat for next time.

PS Highlight for me - after the race a man and his young daughter were looking at the results. She asked him, "Daddy, did you win?". He replied, "No. The guy who won graduated before I was born." That's why I keep racing..........

SIsson makes State, Gitelis barely misses!
Cristina Sisson took 14th at the Wheaton North Sectional by finishing the 2.5 miles in 15:10. The devilettes have not made it to state as a team since 1987. Marc Gitelis finished 32nd in 16:07 for the 3 mile boys event, but was just shy of being one of the seven at-large individual qualifiers from the five non-advancing teams. Both runners are seniors.
