Hillsborough Little League is committed to giving our players and coaches what they need to ensure a successful and rewarding Little League experience. Training and skill-building play an important role in HLL, starting with basic fundamentals and expanding from there. Players' Training and Skill-Building Training with Preparing Legends: Each Minors and Majors Baseball team will be joined by a Preparing Legends coach for two practices during the 2009 season. Also, Preparing Legends will host the AA Division Pitching Clinic on Sunday, May 3rd from 1-3 p.m. at West School. The clinic is open to all AA players with an interest in pitching. Interested players should notify their coach that they plan to attend by Friday, May 1st. Velocity Sports Training for Players and Coaches: Located in San Carlos, Velocity Sports will offer one free training class for each HLL coach, team and player above the T-Ball level at their facilities on Industrial Road. Velocity Sports' programs are designed to improve the speed, strength and athleticism of young and older athletes alike. Please look for more details at tryouts and/or from your coach and our training bulletins. Additional Training Options: HLL encourages Little League players to seek out various baseball instruction, if interested. There are many different options available to players, including fielding, batting and pitching lessons with Preparing Legends; batting cages and/or one-on-one training with Terry Whitfield of FuturePro; hands-on training sessions with Fred Breining and various other skill-building options.
