The Hillgrove Hawks Mom's Club invites you to join the Mom-a-Hawks as we gear up for the 2009 football season! Our primary duty is to feed the boys before every game. That means we serve the freshman and JV teams on Thursday afternoons and the varsity team on Friday afternoons. Home or away, boys must eat!
Many of our meals are donated by our fine sponsors. And, we'd love to have more donated meals in the upcoming season. If you know restaurants in the area that would be willing to donate meals, please let us know! Last season, we fed about 90 boys/coaches on Thursdays and about 125 boys/coaches on Fridays. This number is likely to grow, however, as our program expands.
Gatorade. Boys love Gatorade and we need donations. The powder is preferred. We can mix it up and get it cold.
Are you available to help serve the boys on Thursdays or Fridays? Set up in the cafeteria begins at 3:15 p.m. The boys usually appear at 3:30 p.m. and the clean up is completed by 4:15 p.m. If you have an hour to give on Thursdays or Fridays, please let us know! It's fast and furious, and FUN! And, the boys and coaches really appreciate having a meal before the game. Comfortable dress is recommended. Aprons provided.

Our Football 101 camp for moms, grandmothers, etc. is always fun! This camp is for all moms from High School to the Lil Hawks. Held on a Sunday afternoon in the fall, Coach Ironside and his fine staff teach the ladies the fundamentals of the game. Hey, you're in the stands watching it, now understand it! Of course, we begin the camp with lunch and all campers receive a t-shirt available only at the camp! It's lots of fun and no question is left unanswered by the end of the day. And, you get to know the coaching staff REALLY well.
