18 Ron Garner

Position: Assistant Varsity Coach Email: ronald.garner@fortbend.k12.tx.us Profile:         Coach Garner begins his 3rd year coaching at HHS, but has coached in Odessa, Cy Ridge and Westbury high schools prior to coming here. Coach Garner will be the varsity assistant coach this year, and will focus on the development of all outfielders as well as working with the hitters. Coach Garner is the running backs coach for the varsity football team and teaches art.         Outside of coaching, Coach Garner spent two years as an inspector with the Odessa Fire Marshall’s Office, 6 years as a Deputy for Harris County, and 4 years as an Officer for FBISD.         Coach Garner won a state championship at Willowridge HS in football, before moving on to Blinn College and SW Texas State where lettered in football and baseball. After college he played in a West Texas/New Mexico League and with Team Nicaragua from the Latin American League.         He is married to Zoe, and they have three children: Ronnie (18), Zia (14), and Ryan (10). In his free time he enjoys horse back riding and swimming.
