Steven Vlasek begins his first year as Head Coach of Hightower Baseball Program. He also begins his 6th year as an Assistant Football Coach. With eagerness and excitement he looks forward to the upcoming season. With nine seasons as the varsity assistant coach of the Hightower baseball team under his belt. Coach Vlasek knows the program and the school and looks forward to continuing the winning tradition.
Prior to coming to Hightower, Coach Vlasek was an assistant coach for four seasons at Brenham High School. He gained much experience working in their state-recognized program. He had the opportunity to help coach Brenham into the state tournament, where they finished third in the state.
Coach Vlasek received his degree from Sam Houston State University, where he pitched two seasons for the Bearcats. He also pitched two seasons for Blinn Jr. College.
He is married to Becky, and they have two sons, Tyler (12) and Travis (4). Coach Vlasek enjoys deer hunting and Wade fishing.
