Game 1: Canes win 7-0 by forfeit against Worthing
Game 2: Canes fall to North Shore 8-7
A big 8 run second inning spelled doom for the Hurricanes. After falling behind 8-0 the Canes battled back for runs in the 4th, 5th and 6th but the still came up one run short. At the plate Robert Cossey had a big game going 4 for 4 with a 3B and a SB. On the mound Curtis Schroller and Ryan Platek provide 4 1/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Evan Lyday.
Game 3: Hurricanes dominate Barbers Hill 11-5.
Grant McIntire earned his second varsity win with 6 solid innings on the hill. Grant struck out 7 while walking only 2. On offense the Canes used their “fast” to steal 8 bases and pressure Barbers Hill all day. At the plate Roderick Walker lead the Canes by going 3 for 4 with a 2B and SB.
The Canes next game will be Tuesday at Frankie Field against Clements in their first District game. Game time is 7:00 PM.
