Coach Tony Neis will be giving the club's 2009 introduction and orientation on November 11 @ 6:00PM at Colonial Forge High School. There is still time to register if you have not already. Just show up with your paper work, or fill it out there. Coach Neis will have the forms.

The Highlanders are looking forward to another successful Wrestling Season!
We will be practicing on Wednesday and Thursday Evenings at Colonial Forge and another night at North Stafford High School. Saturday morning practice locations have not yet been determined.
PRACTICES WILL BEGIN NOVEMBER 11TH!
We will again be competing in the NVWF Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation (Beginners and Intermediates) and the Capital Area Wrestling League CAWL (Advanced)

Style: Modified Folkstyle; Ohio Tournament of Champions Fomat and Qualifier; Wrestlers guaranteed three matches. Top two wrestlers in each pool of four will get a fourth match. Last year, we had over 200 wrestlers from numerous states and several state placers competing against each other! This is a great kickoff to the 09/10 wrestling season!! All Youth and high school wrestlers are welcome!
Length of Bouts: One three (3) minute period; No Referee’s position; Out of bounds or lack of activity results in neutral start; Sudden victory overtime.
Weight Classes: Madison System
Age Divisions: Bantam (Born in 2001 and 2002), Midget (Born in 1999 and 2000), Novice (Born in 1997 and 1998), Schoolboy (Born in 1995 and 1996), If you are born in 1995 but are in high school grade you can elect to wrestle in the Schoolboy division. High School (Enrolled in Grades 9-12) . You can enter into 2 divisions although you can only wrestle up 1 division. You will need to register for each division separately.
Registration: $30.00 registration. All on-line registrations and payment will be handled by going to the link below: WWW.WESTFIELDWRESTLING.COM.
Online registration will close at 11 pm on Fri Oct 30th. Please make every attempt to register online before 11 pm on Oct 30th!!
Late Registration:
Pre-High School – There will be NO late or walk in registrations for Pre High school wrestlers. All Pre high school wrestlers must register online using the link above.
High School – Walk-in/Late registrations for High school will be $40.00. Walk-in/Late registrations will be open from 11-12 Sun Nov 1st. Walk-in/Late registrations will close at 12:00. Please make every attempt to register online before 11 pm on Oct 30th otherwise you can only walk- in and register from 11-12 on Sun Nov 1th. Walk-in registration will not be accepted after 12:00!
NOTE: Walk-in/ Late registration will require a parent signature to participate. Schedule:
Pre-High School
8:00 – 8:30 am weigh-ins for all Pre High school wrestlers to include Bantam, Midget, Novice, Schoolboy
9:30 – 1:30 Wrestling; for Pre-high school wrestlers. Each Madison weight class will have two pools of four; Round robin in each pool; Top wrestler in each pool will wrestle for first place; Second best wrestler in each pool will wrestle for third place.
High School
11:00 am – 1:00 weigh-ins for all High school wrestlers who pre-registered
11:00 am – 12:00 weigh-ins for all High School wrestlers who are walk-in/late registers. Walk-ins will not be accepted after 12:00!
2:00 – 6:00 Wrestling; for High school wrestlers. Each Madison weight class will have two pools of four; Round robin in each pool; Top wrestler in each pool will wrestle for first place; Second best wrestler in each pool will wrestle for third place.
Facilities: Four mats will be utilized in the Westfield Gym, On-site High School Trainer, $1.00 admission fee for spectators. Concessions and other vendors will be available throughout the day.
Awards: Awesome one of a kind Medals to 1st through 4th Place; Each Weight Class Champion will also receive a “Top Dawg” T-Shirt. Top 3 place finishers will receive the Tournament of Champions qualifying form. Directions: Westfield High School is located at 4700 Stonecroft Blvd in Chantilly VA 20151. Take VA Route 28 to Willard Road; Turn left at the Willard Rd and Stonecroft Blvd intersection; School is immediately on your right. Please enter the school through Gym Door Number 11.

Agreement: Upon submission of registration I hereby give this wrestler permission to wrestle in the Top Dawg Tournament on November 1, 2009 and release the tournament organizers, officials, sponsors, and FCPS from any and all liabilities associated with injury, accident, or participation. In addition, I acknowledge and fully understand the inherent risk associated with the entrant's participation in the sport of wrestling. |

Hours: 5:45 pm - 8:45 pm
Location: North Stafford High School Gym , 839 Garrisonville Rd., Stafford, VA 22254
***Please enter through bus ramp doors on west side of school***
Camp Cost: $55.00 - includes t-shirt
Equipment: Participants are expected to dress appropriately: - t-shirt, shorts, and wrestling shoes
No Wrestling Experience Necessary.
Register by 6 November to guarantee a shirt.
Walk up registrations will receive shirts while supplies last
