Welcome to the 2009 website of the
Hickory Fitfires--
Now entering their fifth season in the league, the Hickory Fitfires are excited to be fielding an almost completely new team, having returned only one player from last year. The 2009 squad features a great mix of veterans and rookies, and expects to once again stand out as one of the most competitive teams in the league. Fitfire history has seen the team range between a 4-12 season in its inaugural campaign, one league championship in 2007, and two semi-final appearances. Building team camaraderie, improving softball skills, having fun, and learning lessons that can carry over to many other areas of life all remain important parts of the Fitfire experience.
To see individual game results and stats, hit the "schedules" button on the left task bar, and then under "game," hit the hot button of the game you want to see. You can read short summaries of the games, and see individual game stats.
For season stats, hit the "Stats" button on the task bar, and you can find hitting and pitching stats for the current season.
