The Heart Lake Mixed Slo-Pitch League has been in operation since 1981.
This league was started with four teams of ten players each on the foundation of good sportsmanship, friendship, comradeship, and keeping the FUN in Slo-Pitch baseball (and as an excuse for friends to get together and meet after the games and enjoy some cold beverages on hot summer evenings) .
The games are played at local diamonds primarily in the Heart Lake Community on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
For the 2012 season there are 12 teams & currently 158 members.
(plus hundreds!!! of spectators participating).
The Warm-up weekend games were played on Saturday and everyone appeared to enjoy themselves. There was the expected "creeking" of joints, groaning and I expect the sales of "A535" will increase over the next few days!
The playing season will start on Tuesday May 1st and Thursday May 3rd
