Now that it has gotten cold, dark and rainy, HDLL would like to announce the kick-off of our indoor winter training program.
We are also fortunate to have a baseball instructor with the experience and depth of knowledge as Hank Jones. During his off-season as a scout for the LA Dodgers, Hank agreed to host a series of clinics for our HDLL players—free of charge!
This year we are structuring the clinics differently. Instead of having single day training events, Hank will take a small group through a series of three consecutive weekly sessions so that the players can build their skills through repetition and instruction.
The first clinic will focus on hitting and will occur on the following Sunday afternoons: Nov 15, Nov 22 and Dec 6 (Clinics to occur between 1-4pm, exact time TBD. Note that we are skipping Thanksgiving weekend. Also note that Hank’s availability is on Sundays, that is why we have selected those dates). Each session will be limited to no more than 20 students and be filled on a first-come, first serve basis.
Any player enrolled in HDLL this past year is eligible to participate. If you are interested in having your child participate, please reply to this email or contact Mark Decker at mark.decker@comcast.net to reserve your spot. Additional clinics will occur in Dec and Jan, focusing on other baseball fundamentals.
