12/30 EPPING  AWAY  5:30PM   Won 53-44 The JV Hawks continue to improve beating the Blue Devils 53-44 to improve to 3-1.  Steve Auger and Ben Harrington combined for 26 points in the first half to help the Hawks to a 20 point half time lead.  Sam Bonifant and Cam Givens each scored 7 points in the win.
 01/05 SUNAPEE  AWAY  5:30PM

 Won

32-26

Tuesday night the JV Hawks travelled to Sunapee for this season's game 5.  Eight out of ten players contributed to the point total in this low scoring game. For the first time this season "bench scoring" was the differentiating factor to secure the win in an otherwise defensive battle. Thanks to the efforts of all players, the Hawks held on and improved their record to 4-1.
 01/08 MASCENIC  HOME  5:30PM   Lost
For the sixth match-up of the season the JV Hawks hosted Mascenic in what turned out to be a hard fought game.  Each team switched offenses and defences with numerous lead changes through 3 1/2 quarters of play.  In the end the Hawks fell to 4 - 2 on the season.  Cameron Givens contributed a steady 15 points to lead Hopkinton scorers.
01/12 FALL MOUNTAIN  HOME  5:30PM   Won After jumping out to an early 10 -1 lead the Hawks witnessed a strong Wildcat effort that took a double-diget lead...... but ultimately only took a two point disadvantage going into halftime.  Coming out of the locker room the Hawks were flat but fortunately the bench delivered a spark needed for strong defensive play and grapping rebounds and after three quarters of play, the lead was down to one with momentum going our way.  During the fourth quarter the zone defense held its ground only giving up two points.  The best ball movement and offensive execution of the season lead to a nine point quarter against a quicker team and secured the win -  improving the team's record to 5 - 2.  Offensively Steve Auger broke out with 30 points.  Defensively Cameron Givens got things done.  As a team the number of turnovers was cut in half when compared to the previous game.
 01/15 KEARSARGE  HOME  5:30PM

 Lost

39-19

Hawks trailed at halftime by 4 points but couldn't get anything going in the 2nd half falling to Kearsarge 39-19.  Steve Auger lead all scorers with 11.
 01/20 HILLSBORO  AWAY  5:30PM

 WON

 44-41

For game 9 of the season the JV Hawks travelled to Hillsborough to take on
the Hillcats - who previously handed the Hawks their first loss of the season.  With tough defense and good offensive execution the team held a 7 point lead at halftime.  Hillsborough fought back in the third to take a 2 point lead.  During the final quarter the Hawks outscored the Hillcats and finished on top 44 - 41.  Eight players scored for Hopkinton.  Cameron Givens helped to maintain control on the floor all game long with a balanced offensive attack, moved the ball, rebounding, and solid defense. Steve Auger dropped in 14 points in 2 quarters of play.  Sam Bonifant stepped up at the point position.
