For the sixth match-up of the season the JV Hawks hosted Mascenic in what turned out to be a hard fought game.  Each team switched offenses and defences with numerous lead changes through 3 1/2 quarters of play.  In the end the Hawks fell to 4 - 2 on the season.  Cameron Givens contributed a steady 15 points to lead Hopkinton scorers.
01/12 FALL MOUNTAIN  HOME  5:30PM   Won After jumping out to an early 10 -1 lead the Hawks witnessed a strong Wildcat effort that took a double-diget lead...... but ultimately only took a two point disadvantage going into halftime.  Coming out of the locker room the Hawks were flat but fortunately the bench delivered a spark needed for strong defensive play and grapping rebounds and after three quarters of play, the lead was down to one with momentum going our way.  During the fourth quarter the zone defense held its ground only giving up two points.  The best ball movement and offensive execution of the season lead to a nine point quarter against a quicker team and secured the win -  improving the team's record to 5 - 2.  Offensively Steve Auger broke out with 30 points.  Defensively Cameron Givens got things done.  As a team the number of turnovers was cut in half when compared to the previous game.
