NEW AGE DETERMINATION CUT-OFF DATE
USA Baseball, the governing body for amateur baseball approved a motion to adopt April 30 as the age cut-off date for youth baseball in the United States. This change is effective beginning the 2006 season. This means whatever the player's age as of April 30, is the minimum age group for participation. Players may play up in an older age bracket. Any player that desires to play down, ie 12yr old in an 11U division, may do so at the discretion of theĀ posted team, league and tournament guidelines.
